New to Orlando from Miami and have been searching for a real Cuban sandwich on real Cuban bread. Have tried 10 places that claim it’s authentic but then serve it on a hoagie roll. Not this place. This is the real deal 100% authentic Cuban sandwich. Tostones, cortadito and pastelito were all on point. I’ll be back and make Thai my regular lunch spot.

Fast and friendly service. We did a big takeout order for 10 people and everything was accounted for. Lunch meals are all around $11-$16 per person, very affordable work lunch with lots of options to choose from.

This Cafe has a nice seating area now. The Cuban sandwich was very good.
More pork and a few more pickles would have been great but it was still very good. The ham croquettes were awesome.
After this visit, I had a cuban sandwich at another well-known venue on Lee Rd. Just come to the Cuban America Cafe. Tastes more like South Florida.

I love this place. By far the best Cuban food in the downtown area. I want to move to Orlando so I can eat here regularly. Food is excellent, staff is lovely and they have iced Cafe con leche that makes all other coffee undrinkable!

2023- delicious as usual, been coming here well over 15 years, love this place.
This is genuine authentic Cuban food as it is a family operated cafe with one of best “Bistec de Palomilla” plates ever (Cuban Steak Plate, with Rice & Beans) with some delicious onions. Been going here for more than 15 years and always get the same thing, never disappointed with the food or service. If you in downtown and want some good Cuban food for lunch, this is without a doubt worth a stop.

Pretty good spot for a Cuban lunch. The food tasted good and the staff were friendly. I left off one-star because I felt they can improve their recipes a little in order to achieve authentic flavors. Overall, great experience!!

It’s located inside of the Fairwinds Credit Union building. There is free parking in a small lot on the side of the building. There is paid parking across the street. The cafe is tucked away in a small corner. Very good coffee and super nice staff! So glad to have visited. Seems most of their customers work in the upper floors of the building, so it’s a very quiet restaurant.

Ps: they have recently adjusted their prices due to inflation (see the photo I added).
Pps: on my third visit, I came at 7:30 am, which is their opening time. The doors were closed. The security guard informed me they’re usually open a few minutes after 7:30. So, keep that in mind when you’re planning your trip. Amazing empanadas!

Stopped by while in Orlando for work and hope I get to come back again if only to eat here. While I’ve never been to Cuba I honestly don’t know what traditional Cuban food taste like but I can say that not only is the owner Peter and the other workers very nice and friendly but his roast pork is amazing! I had the Tripleta sandwich and it was phenomenal! Fresh baked bread with tender flavorful pork, steak, ham and cheese….yum. The plantains were cooked perfect, sweet and delicious as well. Great job to the entire crew.

Yum. Perfect lunch that I was like icing for. Lots of good, authentic food and lots of sandwich choices from Cubans to Turkey and all done very well. Cuban platters on the menu as well.
Friendly staff and perfect for a quick lunch.
The cafe is on the first floor of the building and you won’t know it’s there till you go in and to the left of the front door. Visitor parking is also available.
