Wow. The place has really turned around.
…………..
We really love Papa Murphy’s pizza. It’s always a hit with the kids; however, I will probably never purchase from this location again.
I waited for my pizza for about 20 minutes. Which isn’t a big deal. But the kitchen was a mess. I was there at a really slow time. There was meat and cheese all over the counter. Two employees were making pizzas, and another wasn’t doing anything. I don’t know why he wasn’t cleaning the counters. It was pretty gross. One of the guys making pizzas wasn’t wearing a hair net and flipping his hair every 30 seconds. Pretty sure food code requires him to restrain his hair. He also scratched the side of his nose with his gloved hand and continued to make pizzas.
These issues may not seem like a big deal, but if employees can’t change gloves, wash their hands, and clean the counters… It make you wonder what they are doing when customers aren’t watching.
I had a great and brief conversation with the Chef on duty around 6:00 p.m. I say Chef because every pizza I receive from this location is is expertly prepared by a Chef and not just someone ‘slinging dough’ until their shift ends. I have yet to see a recipe that tells the Chef to cook with heart. They must do that instinctively.
At any rate, I told this fellow that the pie looked outstanding and that he had done a great job. His response: “I try.” I quickly replied that no one there tries, THEY DO! I have yet to receive a pie that a Chef tried to do a good job on. The Chefs really DO a great job every time. The pizza looks like something they would be proud to take home and serve their families.
Believe me, I have had PM store complaints. When I lived in Vancouver, WA, I go right into headquarters and complain loudly. They were caught off guard and scurried to find a VP of this or that to help me because “our customers don’t usually show up in person to complain.” I lived less than a mile away. It sucked to be them!
Back to this store. It’s great, ney outstanding. The corporate folks in Vancouver should visit here to find out how to make the pies using CHEFS!
