This is “THE BEST” Authentic Mexican food I have ever had! First time visitor and this restaurant did not disappoint. Wonderful greeting, an extensive menu, food was delivered hot and fresh! And I must say when you leave your tummy is full and happy! This is our go to place for Mexican Food.
I highly recommend you give La Tapatia a try!

Ordered takeout… my order was completely incorrect. I was supposed to have a meal with steak and shrimp and I got this meal with steak rice and beans… And it was awful! My chicken empanada was completely burnt! Complete waste of $$$!

I’ve been coming to Tapatia for years. At this point I’ve tried just about everything on the menu, and I can honestly say there isn’t a single dish that disappoints. The food is always bursting with flavor, consistently fresh, and bonus, has a Mexican Grocery!
The staff treats you like family the moment you walk in. They’re warm, attentive, and care about every guest’s experience.
Simply put, this restaurant gets it right every single time. Great food, great service, great people—exactly why I keep coming back. Highly recommend!

My husband and I went to Their food truck that is in Auburn, where the BP gas station is located. We ordered a chicken burrito and a steak burrito along with the Mexican street corn in the cup when we got to the house and took a bite we noticed the steak was crunchy as hell I don’t know who the guy is that was on the grill, but he burnt the chicken and the steak and the corn was very basic not enough sour cream. Some of the corn wasn’t broken up as they cut it off the cob the whole thing was just horrible now don’t get me wrong. We have ordered from here before and it definitely didn’t taste like this but this particular night here I’m not sure what was going on with the cook, but the food was trash. I think the next time if we do decide to continue with them, we’ll just go to the restaurant instead of the food truck

We’ve been living in Georgia for 4 years and have not had Mexican food as good as this anywhere we’ve tried- Abuela is in the kitchen and it shows. Portion sizes for burritos were very generous. The Al Pastor was the stand out with carne asada in a close second. The chicken we had in the flautas needed a little more spice but the texture was great. So thrilled we have this restaurant in town! They opened during the pandemic so stop in and show them some love.
Edit: We get the craving to go back here about once per week. Last time we got our Al Pastor burrito to go and I took a picture of it before it was devoured.
Edit: Adding a picture of some amazing nachos we enjoyed this evening. I especially appreciated how they layered toppings in so they’re not all just on top with dry chips on the bottom. Still loving this restaurant and can’t stay away for more than about a week at a time.

I’ve officially eaten food from here twice. I first tried this spot earlier this year when my sister picked up a to-go order for me. I got the quesa birria tacos. I thought it was just okay. The consommé could have used a bit more flavor. I tried the tortilla chips and guacamole also. Chips were nice and crunchy, and I don’t really like guacamole anymore, but this one was good.
Today was my first in-person visit. It’s located in the Liam Avenue plaza, that strip of restaurants/stores located behind Waffle House and El Jinete. The place is half restaurant and half market. I didn’t go to the market side though. I called ahead to order, so my food was ready as soon as I got there. I got 3 carne asada tacos ($3.50 each) and a small horchata ($2.25). It came with the standard raw onions, cilantro, lime, and red and green salsa.
I also wanted some cooked onions and peppers since I saw several photos on Google reviews of the sautéed onions and peppers on the side. When I asked for it, the lady said it only comes with the raw onion on it and that they had no peppers. Which I already knew…but I don’t think she understood that I wanted it as an additional side, and she kinda brushed me off so that was disappointing. So I just left and took my to-go food home. The tacos were still nice and warm with a good flavor. Horchata was delish. I will be back. This is the only taqueria in Dacula, so it’s literally the best you can get in the area.

BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN DACULA BY FAR! I come here a lot to grab a quick bite and it never disappoints. I usually order the birra with consume which is very good but today I decided to order chicken tacos and was not disappointed. Everyone is always so nice and I’m glad I can support a local family owned business!! definitely will be a regular here.
