This place is in my hometown. My family and I moved away when I was 9, now at the age of 29 I was able to bring my own family back to my hometown 8 hours away from our current home. I already knew before coming into Hartford that we had to eat at Richards. So thankful that its still there 20 years later and still top notch. Great food, fair prices, great service, and great small town atmosphere. My wife and daughter absolutely loved it as well.

Right on the southern edge of town, this restaurant serves up a tasty breakfast skillet worth generous portion sizes. Breakfast is served all day for adults, but oddly enough is time limited on the kids menu. Our waitress was friendly and prompt, checking with us several times to ensure our visit was satisfactory.
The interior is a bit “worn-in”, but it definitely has that cozy and welcoming feel of grandma’s kitchen!

We visited Richard’s’ today that we visit A LOT and always have the chicken dinner, we drive 40+ miles , today the chicken dinner was substandard, over cooked, white meat was very dry.
We took it to go and feed to the squirrels.
I talked it over with the Richard’s manager Steve and he said we will look into it, that was the end of it, bottom line is you are EXPECTED TO PAY FOR A BAD MEAL!
There was NO INVITE to come back, and we will MAKE IT RIGHT.
FYI Richard’s :
You never get a second change to make a first impression. Especially in a SMALL TOWN.
Looking for new place that takes care of faithful customer, clearly we are not one of them to Richard’s.

Very nice place to get a bite to eat. Breakfast lunch or dinner are all available. We came here about a week ago and it was good enough that the next time we were passing through town we made a point to stop again. I suppose you could call some od the menu comfort food but it’s all good and the prices are also very good. I topped dinner off with a piece of pie and ice cream, forgot to take pictures before I gobbled it down.

Customer service was very poor, 40 min. Wait on the food, very small portions for our guests. Won’t be attending there again. Will spend our money out of this county!

Its small town rural place i loved it everyone knows everyone the service was genuinely warm the food is down home cookin fantastic i ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich and deep fried mushrooms sweet tea a slice of peacan pie and dutch apple pie for my mom the price was good

Very nice, casual, small chain restaurant. The salad bar is closed due to covid and every other table is closed. The service was really good. And the menu has a lot of items.
