I’m honestly very disappointed and disturbed by this experience. I ordered pho Vietnamese noodles and found a piece of plastic wrapped in with the meat. This is a serious safety concern and completely unacceptable. The meal was completely ruined, and I’ve lost trust in the quality and care of your food preparation. I expect a full refund and appropriate compensation for this experience.

Small family friendly pho place. My husband had beef tenderloin pho I believe and I had a chicken noodle cold salad and it was so cold and refreshing. The vietnamese iced coffee is absolutely amazing strong and taste definitely give it a try if you like coffee.

food is OK we grab food here before we are leaving for the airport. there is no service. the server looks like I owe him something. recommend you come for a comfort food but that’s it. we ordered soft shell fried, which I do not recommend. the well done brisket pho and roast duck rice are OK.

The male server is extremely unprofessional. As soon as we came in and picked up a high chair for my one year old he yelled at us to move it away from the aisle which is the only spot to place it since the tables are so close together. He came to take our order and we needed time to look at the menu- he came back three more times with 2 minutes in between which felt rushed. I ordered a Thai tea and it came in a can with 50 grams of sugar… he took my husband’s order and then pointed In my face to imply what I wanted instead of asking me. Extremely disrespectful. I sent the tea back because I wanted real authentic tea not in a can. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Ordered the *11. Pho Tai, Nam, Gau ( Eye Round Steak, Flank, Well-done Brisket) and ask to replace the noodles with egg noodles. Very quick service and delicious pho. Only wish I had a little more noodles.

I tried the pho and broken rice here — they were delicious. The grilled meat was just a little bit dry, but everything else was fine and clean.

Was very excited that a new Vietnamese restaurant opened up on the Big Island. We drove from Hilo to Kona (1.5 hours drive) to eat at this place with high hopes that it will be delicious.
We are true Vietnamese couple and know how real Pho taste like as we have tried many different places. Looking at their menu when advertised online, it looked very delicious and promising. So we decided to give it a try and take a day off from school.

Critiquing their pho:
1) I understand that it is COVID season, but charging $12.75 for a bowl of Pho Dac Biet #7 which is what I had was kinda pricy for the amount given.
2) The Pho Broth, the taste was a-ok but not the best I’ve had. However, after finished eating and driving back home to Hilo, we both had sore throat, felt tired and drank lots of water and knew right away that there was possible a lot of MSG (Mono Sodium Glutamate) used in the broth.
3) The vegetable given was very frugal as you can see in the picture. When I eat my pho, I like to have more beansprouts and basil. The amount given was not enough to suffice my needs.

Overall, we were disappointed in the quality being served as a new place that just opened up. We hope over a period of time their quality can improve. We understand that it was Grand Opening Week (Day 2), however, usually the first impression will encourage customers to come back.

Most of the ingredients of vegetable spring rolls were noodles and the sauce was too sweet. Moreover, the veggies were not tasty….. Overall the plating was so rough and we didn’t feel love from the dishes…We love Vietnamese food and often visit Vietnamese restaurants in various coutries but we’d say this is the worst one unfortunately.
It is a shame as this is one of the few Vietnanese restaurants in Kailua-Kona.

⚠️ Be very careful when paying the bill. When the owner sees you’re from out of town, he will print a bill that already includes a tip, then assume you’ll tip again—so if you don’t check, you’ll end up paying the tip twice! Afterward, he won’t admit what he did. This person is extremely sneaky and dishonest.
