First and foremost, the service was amazing. The servers were all super nice 🙂 We started with the fried shrimp goyza and crab salad. So delish. Then we got four sushi rolls. The Dynamite Roll was to die for! Everyone definitely needs to check out this hidden gem next time they are in Sint Maarten!

Fantastic first experience at Hanami!
I’m so glad we decided to try this new spot!
The food was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We had the tiger roll, a mackerel roll, seashell shrimp, and their mix fried rice.
Every dish tasted incredibly fresh and full of flavor.
The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. You can really tell they care about quality and presentation here.
If they keep up the freshness and quality, Hanami will easily become a top favorite on the island.

Such a peaceful spot to enjoy the taste of delicious sushi. The quality of the food is so good, you can really see that everything has been prepared with care.
The staff was very friendly. They were really open to feedback which I think is the best way to meet the expectations of the guests.

We were craving sushi and stumbled upon this gem. Located on a cute marina, they recently opened. The service was outstanding, the food was really good. We come from Brooklyn, NY where we have amazing sushi so we are a bit spoiled, but we were so surprised how good the rolls were. Definitely check this place out if you want a sushi fix!!

We are happy we had dinner at Hanami! The sushi rolls were a great variety and the fish was freah and flavorful. The staff was attentive and gave local recommendations. They have seating both inside and outside. A lot of the other sushi places in the area have cream cheese in every single roll on the menu. Hanami only had it in a couple, and they took it out upon request.

I recently dined at Hanami, and overall, it was a pleasant experience.
Food: The sushi was top-notch and truly enjoyable. Each dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The variety on the menu offered something for everyone, and I particularly loved the special rolls.
Service: While the food was excellent, the service left something to be desired. The waitress, who could benefit from more training to enhance her skills and professionalism, was not as attentive as expected, even during a night that wasn’t particularly busy. There were times when we finished our food and drinks, but they were left on the table without being cleared. I had to bring this to the bartender’s attention to prompt the waitress to pick up the remaining items.
Ambience: The atmosphere was nice, enhanced by background music that created a welcoming vibe. The decor was modern and inviting, and the patio next to the lagoon offered a lovely outdoor dining option. It’s a great spot for taking pictures with a boat, adding a unique touch to the experience.
Suggestions for Improvement: I believe adding a few more staff members during peak hours could help manage the service better. Additionally, focusing on training for the waitstaff would greatly enhance the overall experience. The bartender could also benefit from experimenting with drink recipes to improve the drink offerings.
I understand that Hanami is a new establishment, and I appreciate the challenges that come with that. With time and some improvements in service, I believe it has great potential to become a favorite spot. I look forward to seeing how they grow and hope to return soon to enjoy both the food and an improved service experience!

Honestly, we were a little un easy about this place at first due to it being quite new but it was one of the best places we ate at in SXM! The sushi was fantastic, we also tried their noodles and chicken which were both to die for. The fish is fresh and served super nicely on huge platters. We sat outside on the water, we got to see some fireworks as we were there for new years day and spent hours at the table drinking and eating! I 100% recommend this restaurant!

Really lovely! Nice view of the lagoon, and a nice breeze on the patio. The food was absolutely delicious! Chicken Gyoza pan fried with the most delicious sauce – highly recommend! Spicy edamame was also very good.
