We’re Potrillos Mexican Grill, and we’ve been one of the premier Mexican Restaurants here in Carlinville, IL, since 2021. We serve authentic Mexican food and drinks, with full bar service, including street tacos, burritos, fajitas, tapatios, chimichangas, tamales, and much more. We started this business to bring a cultural Mexican restaurant to the community and I’d like to personally invite you to come by today and try one of our jumbo margaritas yourself!

Wr just wanted to grab some lunch.. found this place accidentally because we thought it was still the previous cafe. It was very nice and welcoming. Had some chips and salsa.. looked over the menu and ordered some food. Everything was quite tasty. Glad we decided to try it. Very good.

This is the second Mexican restaurant in town. It is located in a section of an old remodeled church, and not in the main part of town. The food and service are both good. Bright dinning area. Although interior seems a little dated. I enjoy eating here.

So after church we had to take a trip for groceries and the mama knows a sure way to get me to tag-along…..offer to take us to get some food and not just any food, Mexican food!!!! Perfect opportunity to try out the new place in Carlinville, Protrillos is kinda tucked away in town and we had to Google it to find it but we found it. And this place is really nice inside and out. Clean and cozy restaurant with great staff and great good!!! The chips are the best I’ve had at any Mexican restaurant. My son had the ….he says he could eat it everyday. Mama had the quesadilla Suprema, one steak quesadilla and one chicken….the steak that was in the quesadilla was amazing btw. I had the chorripollo and it was also really good. If you haven’t tried it and you’re in Carlinville you should definitely give it a go
