When you’re on the Westbank, stop by Seafood Zone. The gumbo is excellent–consisting of okra, chicken, shrimp, and sausage. Other items are mostly cooked to order. This gem is a great find in Algiers.

I’ve eaten here many times in the past the food was much better then. On 12/23/24 I order a 12 inch Shrimp Poboy and Fries they put only 12 shrimp on my poboy and the French Fries were terrible small and cheap looking and I didn’t enjoy that meal at all . The service was great and fast the only thing that was great not the food.

Three stars for convenience and different varies if food. $25 wasted.. Mom didn’t like their watery gumbo. My shrimp poboy was sloppy and not throughly cut. They could have just left it as a whole cuz it was sliding off the bread as I was eating it. Fries were unseasoned and dry. I had to dig thru them to eat the better ones. All in all they are ok but could definitely use some improvement. Customer service is good but Prices are too entirely too high

The gumbo is one of the best that I have ever had. The Catfish po’boy and platter are large servings and very tasty. Service is quick and they are friendly and helpful. However, it is takeout only, so don’t expect to dine in. They sell fresh and frozen fish, crabs and boudin. Try them.
