New management and it seems a little run down, but the best places are in spots like this. The owner is a sweet and kind woman, we were here on Christmas, and she was telling us what the best things were and how ot worked.
We started off with the hot and sour soup, which was delicious, and I truly enjoyed the texture. It felt silky and the flavor was there. For our mains, we got salt & pepper pork chop, sweet and sour chicken, combo chow mein, Mongolian beef and sautéed broccoli. Everything was hot and fresh. The shrimp in the chow mein was tender, the chicken and pork chop dish both had a great crunch to it and the broccoli was perfectly cooked.
I will happily come back here again. Could not stop eating even though I was full.

So I went here today to pick up lunch for my husband. They had a hot food case that was completely empty, and when I asked about it, the lady who seemed to be the owner said that they don’t do that anymore that they make it to Order. She had me a Menu, And the lunch special consists of one entrée and steam white rice for $$12.50 There was no option to order a second entrée and I had to pay $2.50 extra just to get fried rice when I made a face about that. She assured me that the food was really really good and the portions were good….. Not true the food is mid at best and the portion Was on the smaller side for the price of $16.50 What I will say is that the food came out very fresh. But definitely not worth the price. She also refused to let me use the restroom even though I was a paying customer. I personally will not be returning

Szechuan Chinese Restaurant – A Spicy Delight Close to Home!
I recently visited Szechuan Chinese Restaurant at 100 E Tabor Ave, and I’m thrilled to have such an authentic spot so close to my house! If you love bold, spicy flavors, this is definitely the place to check out.
Food:
I tried the Sichuan Flavor Dan-Dan Noodle—the taste was spot-on with the right amount of spice and savory goodness. My only wish is that it had a bit more meat, but for the price, it’s definitely a great value.
I also had the Spicy Braised Beef Noodle Soup, and I have to say, it was absolutely delicious! The portion was generous—enough for two people to share comfortably. To complete the meal, I ordered some dumplings, which were fresh and well-cooked.
Service & Ambiance:
The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy, perfect for enjoying a hot bowl of noodles on a chilly day.
I’m definitely looking forward to going back and trying more dishes on their menu. If you’re craving authentic Szechuan flavors, this spot is a gem!

Had a great dine-in experience at Szechuan Chinese Restaurant! The place is newly renovated—clean, bright, and comfortable. Staff were super friendly, and the food came out fast. I had the Bigger Plate with spicy chicken skewers, yu xiang eggplant, and dry pot ribs—everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
The new owner said the steam table will reopen this weekend, which means even faster service for lunch and dinner. Right now they’re in soft opening with 10% off, and it’s not too busy yet—definitely a hidden gem worth checking out before the crowds arrive!

Amazing food and service! We went during the opening week and got a 10% discount. First of all the food was delicious, wasn’t greasy or salty a lot, well flavored and done really well. The dishes are individual and good portions. There are great combinations. There are spicy and non-spicy options. The prices are good. The staff is friendly and respectful. Excellent service. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it.

This restaurant just opened & I did a last minute order 30 min before they closed & they have made me a permanent customer due to their kindness, service & delicious food they made me. I highly recommend going to this new restaurant & eating in.Although they have to go orders. We need to make sure they stay open by going & enjoying the food while patronizing a small business in our neighborhood that isn’t a run of the mill restaurant chain. Prices are reasonable & portions aplenty for the delicious variety. I personally don’t eat out often since I love to cook myself,but I look forward to my next “Meh,I’m too tired,but I need the good flavors of the yummy sustenance to carry on” in a dramatic fashion like Masterpiece Theatre from PBS long ago started with the theatric lady who laments her Woe in the opening credits.
