Nice friendly cafe right on the river. Lunch was terrific. I ordered two tacos which was the special. WOW they were big and tasty. My son had the 1/2 hot beef plate. He liked it a lot. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Just like an small town cafe should be. The price was very decent. Highly recomend.

Eaten here several times, the food is ok. Will never return due to the extremely rude waitress who got angry at my son to hurry up and order. I’m not sure why she was rushing anything we were the only ones in there.

Princess and I travels brought us here today.. .what an incredible find. Old school restuarant.. not many of these gems left… so if you’re driving by stop as these r far and few between. Ordered double cheese burger. Made from real beef and the size was incredible Waitress was most helpful. No cell phone or attitude.. three thumbs up. B safe.

Came in for breakfast after waiting for someone to finally come check on us we ordered and was told they ran out of potatoes the previous day. What kind of restaurant runs out of potatoes and doesn’t get more before next service. I can’t eat egg yolks so the whole reason we went was so I could get fried potatoes and some bacon or ham. Left with nothing and hungry.

Certainly not a 5 star restaurant but it’s a sweet little place on the edge of a small town in rural Iowa. The people are nice and the food is decent! They also have a buffet! Could definitely use some updates on the building and interior but the old run down style gives the place some charm!

My Dad and I stopped in for lunch. He said the food was great. Went in and my Dad has some difficulty walking with his cane sometimes and this was one of those days and a very rude lady who finally greeted us thought that I wasn’t caring for my Dad well enough got very rude to me and my Dad as well. He asked about a special and this rude lady just walked away and spoke over her shoulder to him. Everything she was asked seemed to be such a hassle for her to do. Made us wait for our ticket and then finally we could hear her raising her voice saying she wasn’t waiting on us that you (the man/cook) could wait on us. My Dad and I walked out and he said he would never be back. He lives in a nearby town and has eaten there many times. No more. That lady was the rudest person waiting on customers that I have ever seen. The man was very apologetic and ask us to come back however my Dad said he didn’t think so.
