We had a wonderful dining experience at Tarra Restaurant in Jasper. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating such a warm and festive atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing — we had the duck, and it was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Our server was excellent as well: attentive, friendly, and made the evening even more enjoyable. Everything from the ambiance to the service and food was outstanding. We would absolutely recommend Tarra and look forward to returning.

Had a wonderful dinner experience at Terra! Food portions are generous but most importantly were cooked to perfection. Flavours were well balanced and the selection of craft ales was a plus. We had the poutine starter to share, steak and salmon for mains, and mini chocolate pot and earl grey lavender creme brûlée for desert. Also would like to thank Angela, our waitress who was very friendly and helpful with driving tips!

We were staying at the Crimson so we decided to have dinner and breakfast here. Both times the service was friendly and attentive.

Dinner:
– Chicken liver pate: very tasty with the caramelized onions but we found the kettle chips really oily and left most of it untouched. Not sure what the “roots” mentioned on the menu were though as we didn’t see anything. We ended up eating the pate with the toasted buttered sourdough that came with the House Sausage instead (so good! we asked for more bread, forgot to check if they charged extra but worth it!).
– House sausage: A little dry but it paired well with the sauerkraut and grainy mustard. The toasted buttered sourdough seemed a bit misplaced with the sausage to be quite honest… we ended up eating it with the pate.
-Terra Poutine: Tasty and good portion size. The gravy was a bit salty but we generally eat low sodium at home (i.e., we don’t add salt to our cooking) so it could be us. We still thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was one of the better poutines that we’ve had.

Brunch:
– Salmon Benedict: Good portion size and I enjoyed it. The kale was a nice addition that I did not think I’d enjoy but I did! The salmon gravlax was a bit salty to me but, again, it could be just me.
-Buttermilk Pancakes with a side order of sausage (not pictured): Pancakes were nice and fluffy, blueberries and sauce was not too sweet and had some tartness to it. Side order of sausage was seasoned well but was a bit dry though.

Pretty nice restaurant here in Jasper that had a good menu selection and within walking distance of most of the town. Food was quite fresh, very tasty and came out quite quickly. Prices are higher than many other places but food is more gourmet than many. Service was friendly and attentive. Worthwhile checking out

A fabulous little restaurant, which has lots of gluten-free and vegan options. We arrived at approximately 1700 hrs on a Tuesday. Not busy at all. Server was very friendly, and knowledgeable regarding celiac. Lots of celiac-friendly options on the menu. Had an old-fashioned, which was fabulous. We shared Poutine (separate fryer; I know, don’t occur very often. I thought my celiac wife was going to explode with excitement). A lovely meal with lovely staff in a lovely location.

We came here for dinner, my husband and my daughter. We had two appies, sourdough bread with chicken wings, which were excellent.

For the main course there was steak and salmon. Steak was excellent, salmon was cooked to perfection. However since I am not a fennel fan and I didn’t particularly care for the bean-tomatoe mix I mainly just had the salmon.

For dessert we had cheesecake and creme brulee. Both absolutely delightful.

Our server Becca was incredible, very friendly and attentive. We had an incredible evening thanks to her.

If you have been looking for a stylish cafe for a long time, then you should definitely visit Terra. The eyes were happy to look around. The service is also at the highest level, we were brought wine to taste until we chose what we liked. The dishes are not big and in one of the dishes in the menu there is a leg and wings, but in fact there was only a leg (maybe we misunderstood something, of course). But the dessert was incredibly tasty. I will definitely come back here to enjoy the dessert and the style of the cafe again!

Excellent food, though the cheesecake does have a hint of an aniseed. Waiter told us the food isn’t necessarily foraged, but sourced from within 2 hours drive. Tofu dish was delicious and filling.

I chose this place based on the positive reviews, and while the design and ambiance are indeed beautiful, our experience fell short of expectations.

We ordered a charcuterie board, but as shown in the attached photo, what we received was simply a plate with nine pieces of salami—something that was quite disappointing and unexpected.

The chicken dish we ordered for dinner was not bad in terms of taste, though the portion size was quite small.

Overall, while the setting is lovely and may be worth visiting once, I don’t see myself returning or recommending it to friends.

We grabbed breakfast at Terra on our way out of Jasper and I wish we had gone there earlier. The food was insanely good and so was the service. Highly recommend
