Normally I come into this location to pick up my order but this time I was unable to. I placed an online order for delivery $45.00 + a $5.00 tip for the diver. I never got a call back that their was any problem with placing my order or the distance. My food came in time but what came out the diver mouth made me clutch my pearls. I wish they would have called me to tell me that they don’t deliver to my side of hamilton. Instead of the driver dropping it off with attitude and telling me that this will be his last time delivering to this side of hamilton and that he only did it cause they were slow with business today. To my surprise, my food looked like it was tossed together real quick. Especially the hoagie. I was not happy about that and the sour tasting chicken noodle soup that had a funny smell and my pasta was heart breaking. You didn’t have to take my money like that if you weren’t going to provide get service. I’ve had restaurants call back and say that I was either to far or give me the opportunity to pay extra for delivery.

Something changed about this place since the last time I was here. It used to be good, not anymore. Got a Sicilian with extra cheese, and the sauce was so bitter I couldn’t eat it. The taste of oregano was beyond overpowering. There was hardly any cheese at all on it, despite paying for extra. Just little translucent shreds so sparse there were holes in it like a pair of old worn out socks. What a waste of money.

My husband and I recently moved to NJ and Villa Maria was one of the first take-out spots we tried. Last night, we dined in the dining room area and it was great! The staff was awesome, the atmosphere in the restaurant was very family like and even the other guests were great too. Their Ziti Vodka is one of my favorite dishes I’ve gotten to try so far in NJ along with their garlic knots. The lava cake was great to end with. We did try the an appetizer off the specials menu (crabmeat bruschetta) which wasn’t it for me but my husband enjoyed it. Overall, a great experience and we will certainly be back. I love that it’s also BYOB which I didn’t know before going, but will definitely remember for next time.

The service is timely and pretty friendly. We ordered the Cheese Pizza and a Caesar Salad, which were both decent but nothing special. The crust on the pizza could have been a bit more done. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available, and the ambiance is nice and relaxed.

Went there for a repass and ordered the eggplant rollatini and it was the worse I ever had. The eggplant was so hard and not cooked. Took forever to get food. When they bought out the pasta there was a fair amount of the one with marinara sauce, but when the fettuccine came out, there was hardly any on the bowl. More clean then any. There was 7 people at our table and only 2 people had some, and they only took a tablespoon size and when I got it, there was hardly anything there. Very disappointed.

Called ahead for three slices. They said 15 mins. I got there in 20 and they had not started the order. I jokingly said you forgot about me you should give me a free cannoli. An older gentleman completely fat shamed me and said you don’t need anymore sugar. Look at you! They tried to clean it up but he said it again. Pizza isn’t worth insults.

We’ve loved ordering from here until they recently attempted to charge us $5 to sub vodka sauce for marinara on a $24 stromboli. An unnecessary and ridiculous upcharge, especially since they’ve previously made the same order without charge. Add in ridiculously long delivery times, and you can do better elsewhere.

Gotta say!!! I have been here a few times now, and the food is always delicious and you can literally taste that it’s all made by hand with fresh ingredients. If you can give them like 20 min heads up, I highly recommend asking Jorge to customize a Stromboli for you! I don’t eat meat and he fashioned an amazing veg combo one that I can’t wait to have again. Service is always kind and fast, the restaurant is always spotless, and did I mention the food!? Unique and creative weekly specials that you will find are just another reason to come back!! Thank you guys! This place rocks AND is reasonably priced as well! -Erica-

The food is good. We try going here once a month for dinner on the weekend because they are open til 11pm. We got there at 9:30 and wait staff looked aggravated that we came to eat in the dining area. No other customers were there.Waited for refills on drinks while 3 staff members walked by. We probably won’t be going there anymore. Felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable.
