Margeaux Supper Parlor is a concept-driven restaurant offering New American dishes in themed collections, paired with exquisite wine. The menu is a fusion of New England and New Orleans influences, and features bites such as Lobster Truffle Gnocchi and Fried Oyster Deviled Eggs with Tomato & Bacon Jam.

I cannot say enough about our experience at Margeaux. Everything was amazing, and I cannot wait to return. Josh was our server and truly set the tone for the evening. He was knowledgeable, honest with his recommendations, and so personable – he is the type of server you want to have, especially on your first visit.
I had dinner with members of our Boston team, and we all enjoyed what we had: meatballs, po’ boy appetizer, deviled eggs, lamb chops, steak frites, and pork chops. All were so flavorful and yummy. My only addition was asking for a side of the fried corn with my pork chops *chef’s kiss*
I highly recommend Margeaux, and please ask for Josh.

Went here for Xmas dinner and had a fabulous time. Our waitress Brooke was a gem. Super friendly and attentive. The place was very nice deco. The owner Rebekah was so nice and allowed me to bring in a special bottle for me to enjoy with my meal.
The food was great. We had their special Xmas menu. I really wish they keep the Oysters 3 ways on their menu cause it was slamming!!! The scallop risotto was a bit salty but very good. The lamb lollipops were really great and so was the seared duck breast.
Can’t wait to go back!

10/10. This place is a gem. Excellent food and drinks. And there is something on the menu for everybody. They offer “tasting collections” where you can get small plates of basically any entree they offer. This is the way to go – every one we had was so good. Thank you to our server Arianna who was so warm and attentive. The manager provided us complimentary champagne when we told her we were there for an early Valentines Day dinner (wish I caught her name!) Don’t skip dessert. We will definitely be back.

My friends and I have a monthly dinner club where we pick a new restaurant to try each month. Last month we came here, to Margeaux Supper Parlor, and had an experience we’ve been raving about since.
We started with the charcuterie, which was perfectly curated. For our entrées We went with 2 of the tasting collections — the Coastal and the Field & Farm. They were the perfect size for sharing and being able to try multiple dishes, which is what we always love to do. Highly recommend the wine pairings too. We also added a Beef Wellington which is a must try. For dessert we did a chocolate torte, coconut bread pudding, and the pistachio & honey crème brule which is next level.
If you go when it’s warm, sit out on the back patio. It’s a beautiful little oasis hidden in Porter Sq, especially on a summer night. The bar and decor inside is also gorgeous. Planning on coming back for brunch next time!

My wife and I arrived for our 7 o’clock reservation on a weeknight, and we’re seated immediately by an informative young fellow who did an excellent job explaining the way the menu worked, although I was remarkably stoned so I still didn’t fully grasp it, but it didn’t matter because it is made simple by the tasting selections they offer. My wife mixed and matched the beef wellington, a fish plate and a pasta plate. I got the curated selection “on the farm” or something like that. My selection had pork, duck, and beef, and it was spectacular. Plating is clearly a focus in this kitchen, our dinners were mouthwatering and truly beautifully done. Then something happened. A large group of boisterous service industry men came and took up the large back room. They weren’t disruptive or anything like that, but someone decided to have our waiter take that party and have another waitress handle us, alas somewhere there was a miscommunication and she was not told, so my wife and I sat there for quite a while before we were addressed again. The waitress handled everything in stride, but our drinks were never refreshed and since we weren’t leaving without dessert we ended being there for quite a while, especially for us since I eat like an inmate we’re usually in and out. Our desserts were fantastic. Creme brulee for there and two others to go that were really good the next day. I’ll definitely be returning and I’m very much looking forward to it, hiccup aside Margeaux is one of my top spots.

I had a great experience here. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and I really enjoyed their unique concept of offering smaller plates that let you mix and match a variety of dishes as an option. It’s perfect for anyone who likes to sample everything and they even have suggested wine pairings for the dishes. I’d definitely come back.

This review is for drinks only, because we did not have food on either visit. We came here twice in one week when we were in Cambridge at a Home swap. It was within walking distance of our house.
First, the ambience is great. The place is gorgeous. We really enjoyed sitting at a bar, and the vibe was wonderful. The bar is open and bright, but also very elegant. And the barstools are comfortable.
Drinks: There are lots of incredible mixologists in our hometown, and they make their own bitters and shrubs etc., so we really expect a cocktail bar to ‘wow’ us to really knock our socks off. And the first visit was excellent. They had a naked and notorious, which looked quite like a naked and famous, which I make it home, with a little bit of a twist. I tried theirs, and it was wonderful. Then I also tried to make a naked and famous, and it was pretty much like the ones I make at home. Nothing to write home about, but it’s a beautifully balanced drink.
My husband’s drink was a bit of a mess, however. He tried a special Sazerac, but it had a banana flavor added. I think we’ll say ‘no’ to that one. The flavor profile was just a mistake. On our second visit, he ordered a regular sazerac, and that was pretty good.
Service: the server on our first visit was excellent and really was attentive; we discussed the bar itself and some of the bartenders, but the server on our second visit was rather absent. So overall, I would give this four stars. We were also a little bummed out, because we wanted to take our son out on his 21st birthday for a really great “first” drink, but it was a Monday and they were closed. We assumed since they were a part of a hotel that they would’ve been open. No stars offer that, but it would be nice if they were open on a Monday.

Flavors were absolutely delicious. Everything we tried was really good and the ability to try three entrees is a great concept. Credit also given to the attention to detail and the thought put into each dish. However, they were out of the Beef Wellington (one of the main reasons we came). Also they were out of the meat balls and the apple crisp. We also sat for a good five minutes after our appetizer came without silverware, plates or napkins. And they forgot our French onion soup. So, good food but we wanted to try other things that were unavailable or forgotten.

It might be easy to miss this little gem of a place in Porter Square but you’ll thank yourself by walking in and be treated to great food and excellent service.
While this place might be known for its dinner fare, it’s brunch offering deserves more attention. I was a fan of the Shrimp and Grits. The avocado toast and muffins were just as great. The quiche was so good and I wished the serving was a little bigger. The staff was attentive and made sure everything was to your liking.
PS: Owner is a Teach For America alum like me.
