Reviews
of the pasta and the sauces was spectacular. The wine that we chose was a perfect complement to our meal. Perfetto gets 5 out 5 for our entrées and wine.
On the less favorable side, our salads were far too large as a side and our entrées were brought to our table well before we could possibly finish the salads. The homemade bread was delicious but we expected dipping oil or at least butter to come with it. Our server said that she would bring us butter butter but dipping oil would be an up charge. The butter arrived in a prepackaged mini cup that would be expected in a diner but not in an upscale restaurant. I say upscale based on the menu prices and quality of the food. I would rate this part of our meal at 3 out of 5.
For dessert we both had the tiramisu. It was good but it was served in plastic cups with tear off lids which didn’t fit with the food quality or menu prices. Other restaurants would have comp’d my wife’s desert given that it was her birthday. A bad fail in my book. My rating is 2 out of 5.
It appeared that the owners were going for a rustic atmosphere and minimalist approach to decorating the place. I wouldn’t call it cozy and it could use some sort of noise baffling material
on the ceiling. Ambience was a 2 out of 5.
Our meal was just nearly $200.00. with tip. For that price my wife and I would expect top drawer food, service and atmosphere. We definitely got that with the food but not as much for the service or the atmosphere.
We hope that the owner will take our review in the helpful spirit in which it is intended. We want Perfetto to be a successful, quality restaurant in our community.
Interior has a large mural on one wall and the super nice hostess Ivana (she even held the door for us as we left!) showed us the pictures of her family within in the mural. She made room for us on a Saturday night, super grateful.
Food was fantastic. Their wine list and beer were top-notch (their belgian ale “Trippa” is unreal).
We had the seafood antipasta, nice octupus and calamari ontop of arugla with just the right amount of lemon. The bread was perfectly dense and crusty with excellent olive oil (just the right amount of pepperiness and good olive oil flavour)
Gnocchi with clams and brocolli were delicious and tender. Veal scallopini with mushroom was tender and really nice. Porcini with curly pasta was also delicious.
Super happy to support and friendly, nice, inviting family business with excellent food, drink and take-home products.
5/5 will go back.
