I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at this sushi place! The prices might be a little high for the amount you get, but the quality is absolutely there. As long as you keep in mind that you might need to order a little more than normal to fill up, this is an excellent place to get sushi from.

The only not-so-great thing is that the chopsticks they gave me had jagged pieces of wood coming off them, and I got a bit of a splinter, but that’s okay I won’t hold it against them.

Exceptional hidden gem sushi spot. So glad we found this place. Very small, only about 6 small tables inside. All the sushi was exceptional, wide variety of foods including a sushi taco which was not a gimmick or stunt food, so so good. Prices were fair, they had a range from simple to fancy based on what you wanted. Miso soup was also delicious. The water cups were made of heavy stone, the miso bowls were handmade wood. I almost don’t want to recommend this place since it’s so small I’m worried it’ll get too busy! But they deserve it. Best sushi in the Bay Area.

This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Every bite is melt in your mouth delicious. You know it’s a good sushi spot when their sushi rice is perfect. The ratio of the rice to fish is exactly how it should be done. Hands down our favorite spot. We usually get take out. Easy to order by phone or online. No issues with pick up times we usually place our orders 30 minutes before arriving. Staff is always courteous. Parking is on the back street or usually you can find some street parking right in front. If you love sushi you have to check out this local gem.

Decided to have dinner here as it was near our hotel. Saw that it has overall great reviews from google. First of all, the owner is not Japanese but they spoke cantonese which really does not matter as long as the food was good. The same with this one. The food was delicious. We ordered several sushi from special section including hokkaido uni. This is one of the best sushi and sashimi I had ever had in USA. Not same quality as Japan but better than most Japanese restaurants in USA. The quality of sushi was good especially the hokkaido uni, it was fresh and not smelly at all. The other food was also delicious. At the end, we was given mille crepes cake and not tasty at all. We felt bad but the crepes was too thick. Also, we were not a fan of Lady M cake and this cake worst than Lady M. So we cannot eat it. I really recommend this restaurant and all the food was fresh and delicious.

Easily the best sushi in the area. The fish selection is seasonal. The preparation is thoughtful and appealing.

The restaurant is tiny and seats 12 patrons. The decorations are a little kitschy but the food is worth it. This is one of the few sushi restaurants I keep coming back to.

This restaurant is run by Chinese not Japanese. Inside the restaurant can only sit for 6 tables. Service is fast and friendly. Price is reasonable. Food is fresh. However, it is not authentic Japanese style food. But we will definitely visit it again. We have free pudding to finish our meal. Recommended to everyone.

Great local sushi place. The interior is intimate and the wait staff is friendly and efficient. There is a good selection of sushi and there are daily specials as well. There is a restroom but need to go outside to access it. The sushi tacos are good as well as the unagi don and unagi nigiri. Authentic Japanese sushi, not trendy.

My husband and I were in the area and craving sushi. We found this place and so glad we did! The quality is beyond expectations. For how fresh the fish is, the price is very reasonable. You can taste the freshness in every bite.

We came when they opened on a Saturday night and seated right away. Service was quick and very polite. We’re forsure coming back whenever we get the chance!

I’m not sushi person, but this place definitely eliminates my bias in raw seafood!!!
It’s a very small store with only 12 seats on CA-82. There are a few street parking spots in the front and at back as well. We were lucky when we arrived there on Saturday afternoon that there was no line.
We ordered a combination omakase coming with 10 pieces of nigiri and a dessert at end. The sushi are very fresh and amazing. I don’t even need to dip sushi in soy sauce.
Absolutely a hidden gem in San Carlos area.

Surprisingly good food quality for what deceivingly looks like a basic no frills restaurant (I eat a lot of good sushi in Japan so I am picky). Fish texture is butter-like and moist. They clearly invested their budget in quality sources of fish. Just don’t expect too much in terms of knife-work but the taste is good. Think of yourself getting fresh sushi at a fish market. $45 omakase 10 piece course did not disappoint but I needed to order an extra maki roll to really be filled. Serving sizes are small. Rolls are acceptable and OK but not as impressive as the nigiri … rolls are Cali Fusion style. Only 4 tables here and no sushi bar so call ahead or try your luck. Place is clean and reasonably comfortable. Gives the higher priced and more luxurious sushi restaurants up north a run for their money.
