Place looked promising, it is small, it has a nice vibe to it inside. The service was great, the staff was friendly. The menu choices was pretty good, they had choices. Im sad to say I gave this a low review because our order was sent wrong, I do want to point out that the waiter did say if we wanted to send back, but I also feel it was half his fault and the other half the kitchens. I ordered the Chilaquiles with over easy eggs, he did make a note on that on the ticket because you could hear the cook ask, what is over easy? They sent me sunny side up eggs, I didnt return it because it was just a small mistake. The chilaquiles was a 3.5 out of 5 for me, I asked with meat but the meat was not worth the extra $4, or was flavorful. The other order was a chorizo omelet, we ordered it with the cheese on the side. That I do belive it was the waiters mistake because the plate came out and even he forgot we told him no cheese. Also he did offer to send it back, we said no becaise it was just cheese on top, so what we thought. It had lots of cheese inside as well, we scooped it out, it was just not for us I guess. It was slow when we arrived, and until our order came out they had more people (1 or 2 more tables). So it wasnt a mistake because it was super busy I think they just didnt take the care to make sure it would come out right. I dont think id try again. But very clean place, maybe you could have a better chance.

The tortas were really great, super fresh and full of flavor. The service was just as great, I only waited about 10 minutes. The place itself was nice and clean, and the woman who took my order over the phone was very nice and helpful. When I arrived I was greeted right away, which I appreciated. Overall it was a really good experience, especially with the icy and snowy weather. I’d definitely recommend coming here.

The tacos de Lengua, Quesobirria, and Barbacoa were delish. The tacos de pastor and the Gringas were horrible. It was salty and just had an wierd taste. The beans and rice were good but the Guacamole was subpar lack of seasoning and basically just some smashed advicadoes with onions and jalapeños.

A group of five of us visited this establishment last night. When we ordered our drinks with our server, Zoe, only 3 out of 5 drinks were correct—twice. She did correct them, but it was already frustrating.
When our food arrived, one of the main dishes was missing avocados, and we were not informed of this before placing the order. Another plate was missing elote. On top of that, during the second round of drinks, only 2 out of 5 were correct.
After taking just a few bites of my food, I began to feel nauseous. Later that night, I experienced excessive vomiting and diarrhea. I reached out to management about the situation and was told that this was my responsibility and that they were not at fault because they had recently passed an inspection.
Based on other reviews, this is not the first time someone has experienced this here, despite management claiming it has never happened before. Please be cautious when trying new places. I am now out of my hard-earned money, had a wasted meal, and endured extreme discomfort.
Would not recommend.

Truthfully the food is kind of horrible. I got the nachos and it was loaded with bacon. The cheese got cold and hard fast. The elotes was full of water. The waitress was super sweet and the service was good.

Los Jefes is a hidden treasure. This local treasure is in Duncanville, Tx and very well located. It’s cozy, but with just the right atmosphere and vibe. Ramiro is the host that makes everything feel like it’s just the perfect place to enjoy your time in any part of the day. The food is amazing and delicious, there’s also music in the background not too loud and just loud enough to have a great time. Highly recommend this place
