Went to Mi Mexico for the first time because we had partied the night before and of course some of had a little too much to drink so we needed something spicy for the hangover. We tried the Aguachiles with red sauce (they also have green sauce) they were very good! They did have a kick and were spicy after eating a few just wish it came with more avocado. My nephew also tried the pozole and the rest of us got the Surf and Turf dishes (Mar y Tierra) and which we liked. We also tried some tacos de carne asada and they were so good! Meat was tender and not hard! The micheladas were requested with oysters and they were able to make them that way and we enjoyed them! Not very pricy at all. Would recommend and return! Staff was friendly and attentive. Enjoyed our visit.

Honestly, this place is awesome. The enchiladas are so good and full of flavor, and the chips with the sauce are seriously addicting. The inside looks really nice and has a great vibe, not boring or plain at all. The waiters are super nice and actually make you feel welcome instead of rushed. Overall, it’s just a really solid spot with great food and great service. Definitely recommend checking it out.

First time and will be the last time. Atmosphere was interesting while sitting in a room full of stuffed taxidermy. We asked for extra time to look at the menu and our waitress never returned. Asked one of the waiters if he could take our order and he sent another person over who was abrupt and looked annoyed. Our food took a while to come out, 20 min. Fajitas were burnt (tried pick through it). Mystery meat in the torta (supposed to be carne asada) and bread was wet. Fries were the only good thing along with the beans and rice. Waitress cleared our table and made us wait for our ticket to pay. Paid over $40.

Is this restaurant named Dio’s or Mi Mexico? I’ve been too a few other Mi Mexico’s throughout colorado and just about everything here is different from the others. The food is basic, nowhere near as good as the other locations.

Delicious food and excellent, courteous service provided by professional and pleasant staff. Comfortable, roomy, festive (bonus= traditional Mexican background music while you dine). Recently remodeled and clean dining room. Reasonable prices and you won’t leave hungry. Sports events on TVs in dining room. Wheelchair accessible concrete ramp with metal hand rails at rear of restaurant. Spacious rear parking lot for large vehicles. Family friendly! One of the few restaurants I frequent & recommend in Cortez. Our county and the Four Corners Area are lucky to have Dio, his staff & Mi Mexico! (NOTE: The exterior photo of the restaurant shown in Google maps is the previous location. They have since moved to their current Main Street location across from Veteran’s Park.
