Bear Johns
In my opinion this is the best place to eat in the Bear Lake area. They have a great menu with a variety of dining options. I’ve had several dishes here and each one is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with great views no matter where you sit I’m the restaurant. The manager goes above and beyond to make sure that you are enjoying your meal and time. The service in general was great. The bar area is a great place for a pre dinner beverage with great service and conversations. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through or after a day at the lake with family.

My family stayed at the Conestoga Ranch were Campfire Grill is located and had dinner there last night. Oh my gosh, so delicious. We all got the steak of different cuts and different temps. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was amazing! Highly recommend!

Food was great! Atmosphere was awsome!!server seemed friendly enough, just huge language barrier we ordered the special 1lbs rib eye and I asked what sides it came with and he answered but I had no idea what he said. Then we ordered shrimp and scalap pasta for my 10 year old. and he came back and told us they didn’t have the right pasta but some other pasta instead. we said that was perfectly fine, well when he brought out our food he did not bring my daughter’s food some how he thought we didn’t want it so something got lost in translation so we told him it was ok and he finally got it out to use well the $50 rib eye was cold by the time my daughter’s pasta came out, it was still good and not the cooks fault as u can see in the picture my daughter loved the pasta

This was our 3rd year in a row coming here- it has been one of our most favorite family traditions but after this year we probably won’t go back next year. When you are spending $30-60 a plate, you expect a certain level of quality. Instead, they served potatoes that tasted like instant potatoes, steamed veggies that tasted like they came out of a microwave, and a $8 pesto bread appetizer that shouldn’t have even been on the menu it was so embarrassingly bad (go buy an entire garlic bread loaf at the grocery store for $1, you’ll be happier). When you spend over $300 at a restaurant, the last thing you want to hear from your kids is “are we just really good cooks at our house?” I can assure you, I am not. Highly recommend staying at Conestoga Ranch- it is a beautiful place, just plan to eat somewhere else if you care about your stomach and wallet.

Wow. Have you been yet? If not book a table right now. This is a hidden gem tucked away in the Bear Lake valley. Unbeknownst at first Campfire Grill is open to the public and anyone can grab a delicious dinner here not just the adventurous tent dwellers! The service is superb while a bit slow, they bring highly custom delectable custom made dishes to your table. We thoroughly enjoyed the wagyu meatloaf and the macaroni appetizer! Highly highly recommend! Their stone fired pizzas cooked right out there in the open are to die for! Try make your own with meatball, caramelized onion, and sun dried tomatoes! It was a hit with our group! Truly the ambiance and experience is top notch and blew us away far exceeding my expectations! We will be back!

We went to the Campfire Grill for breakfast and it is perfectly delightful! The service was great – everyone was very attentive. We enjoyed their large cups of coffee and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. This restaurant is tucked away and I would definitely say it’s a hidden gem. We enjoyed the French toast, pancakes, burritos and eggs and bacon. The restaurant and the restrooms are some of the cleanest I’ve been in! And the full surround of floor to ceiling windows was magical.

Really fresh, flavorful and unique cuisine, and really friendly, quick service. We had a party of 20 and they accommodated us effortlessly. Awesome open-air atmosphere. Just an all-around lovely restaurant. Probably the nicest in Bear Lake.

After finding the restaurant (no visible signs while driving into the resort) we were promptly seated with menus in a beautiful open air craftsman/bar with open glass doors on 3 sides.
