Great place to go for quality food and some dinnertainment. The chefs here are very good at their trade and I probably had more fun here than Benihanas. They played English songs and had K-pop MVs on the TVs, which made for a very interesting time.
I enjoyed my sushi order and the hibachi was great as well; I really liked their dip for the veggies. The Sakura cocktail was also fantastic!

Best sushi I’ve had in Virginia, and good prices as well. The sushi chef did an amazing job, and the rest of the staff were all very friendly. Though we did not do the hibachi, we did see one take place and it seemed quite fun as well!

Awesome food as you can see by the photos, portions are enormous, service is spot on, drinks are well made and generous. We have been regular customers for some time now and have seen the restaurant change hands for the better! Try them out you won’t be disappointed!!

Teppanyaki at Kobe Bonsai was really fun and delicious. Definitely come for the entertainment, but stay for the sushi… Expertly prepared selections with perfect texture and delicately seasoned rice. With this place practically in our backyard, recommend visiting the sushi bar often. Not sure what their shochu selection is, but if they can set up some pairing with Omakase then that would be an excellent addition to their food repertoire and I’ll be a regular.

Such a great place. Great for taking a leisurely three-course lunch at the sushi buffet. Healthy tasty vegetarian hot-food options, friendly efficient considerate staff. Brainstorming at Kobe is the thing I probably miss most since quarantine started, and I really hope to get back there.

My husband and I went here an hour before closing. We were in the area and were craving sushi. We checked out what was in the area, and this place had great reviews on Customer Service and Food. So we checked it out.
Let me say this was my favorite experience eating at a sushi bar. Everyone was so friendly and fast service. The food was spectacular!! They made my husband’s and I experienced memorable. If we are ever in the area again, we definitely plan on coming back.
I recommended getting a Sake Bomb for a drink, and for Sushi I recommend the Volcano.

Brilliant place!! We were there on a Saturday night just before their closing time. They treated us in the best possible way and the food was awesome! The proportion was huge and they gave us complimentary ice cream. The hibachi chef was very skillful as well….never dropped a thing! 🙂

As a surprise for our son’s birthday party, we took advantage of the free limo service. They arrived right on time, and were very professional and friendly.
Once we were at the restaurant, they took very good care of us. All of the staff were very attentive, and our chef was skillful and entertaining. All of the food was excellent, and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend Otani for a fun group event!
