My husband and I had a nice dinner at Joe’s Italian Restaurant in Clinton. We were very pleased with the menu options and the food we ate. I had the lobster ravioli (it comes topped with shrimp in a cream sauce) and my husband had the trio with chicken parmigiana, lasagna and fettuccini Alfredo. The cream sauce was very good in both dishes. I would also recommend getting the dipping oil with fresh garlic and lots of other herbs and spices. It was great with the bread. The salads were made with iceberg lettuce which is not my favorite. I would prefer a spring mix with more veggies. Also, at this time they don’t have a wine menu or serve alcohol for those who may want a glass with their dinner. Otherwise, a wonderful addition to Clinton!

i don’t know who joe is, but i need to shake his hand. the food is clearly made fresh, in-house, and is absolutely delicious. the servers are literally running around to get you anything and everything you might need. you will leave stuffed and happy.

we got the fried calamari, tour of italy, and chicken parm. all were good, but my favorite part was the free bread — dip it in the olive oil and you will get the best bite ever. love this place now.

The last thing I thought I would be doing is writing a 5 star review for Italian food in Clinton Missouri, but here we are. I had the Cremora mushrooms/shrimp over angel hair. Chefs kiss. Delicious. 9 people in our party and ordered everything from calzones to lobster ravioli, zero complaints and many compliments. The service was on point, perfectly attentive and not over bearing. The bread was soft, warm and mouth watering. Someone has put much thought into the menu and the presentation of their offerings and they nailed it. Bravo!

I have been waiting my chance to try this place because my love pasta! Was greeted at the door and sat fast! Drinks were served very fast. The food was served fast and was hot. I ordered the tour of Italy or something like that. I liked it all but my complaint is that my lasagna portion could have been bigger. It was very tasty but I just felt for the price I could have got a little bit more. The place was clean, staff was very friendly and that’s my only complaint or however you want to take it. Can’t wait to go back and try something different. I truly hope the best for this restaurant and hope it stays around. There is also gluten free options.

They have good food some of the best Italian food I’ve had but it takes insanely long and there are like 4-5 waiters standing around talking and maybe 1-2 cooks so they need to reevaluate the staff’s positions all and all if your in Clinton and don’t want fast food and are sick of Applebees and time isn’t a this is the place to go

So, my wife and I are both chefs. My wife went to culinary school, and I trained under an executive chef. I am also Italian. We are very picky when it comes to eating out. We saw Joe’s had a 4.8 rating which, as a former restaurant owner is very hard to do, so we decided to give it a try.
Upon entering I have to say that I was actually very leery. It’s not like the fancy Italian restaurants with all of the really cool decor and atmosphere etc. It is very simple in plain. I will be honest I did not have high hopes at all.
Holy cow was I wrong. We started off with an appetizer of spinach artichoke dip. This is probably the first restaurant I’ve ever been to where it was actually fresh artichokes and everything was truly fresh and authentic. Very well done.
They next brought out some garlic rolls which were actually homemade, you could smell the yeast in them. Incredibly soft and very good.
I ordered the lasagna and I was very leery because I normally don’t like ground beef in my lasagna, we use a combination of Italian sausage that’s fresh and ground beef. But I was not disappointed. It was very well cooked, and even the beef seemed as if it was fresh, it was also flavorful and very well seasoned. We’re thinking was probably locally sourced.
My wife had a pasta trio and my son had a plate of spaghetti. For a kids plate it was huge but he ate all of it.
This is a family-owned business, and all of the owners were on the floor working. Which is something you hardly ever even see a restaurant manager do. But they were on the floor, they were clearing tables, they were bussing tables, they were doing just about everything on the floor. Both them and our servers were excellent
I have to say the sauce on everything was magnificent, the cheeses were fresh, everything was far above anything I have ever expected. It’s honestly probably the best Italian restaurant we have eaten at and I don’t say that lately. If you are ever in Clinton Missouri definitely give them a try. Don’t let the outside fool you, it’s one of those tiny little places that you would never know existed otherwise, but it’s amazing.

Nothing extraordinary to grab your attention or a feature that stands out. The food, which is why you’re there is fantastic. At least what my party had, personally I had the Carbonara Linguini and I highly recommend. Our server was attentive and came to the table when needed.

We had a really great experience! My husband ordered the lasagna, and I had a pizza—both were delicious. We also enjoyed fresh, flavorful salads. For dessert, I tried the chocolate cheesecake, and it was absolutely amazing! So happy they came to Clinton. We love it and will definitely be back!

I came across this place only by asking Google if there was an Italian restaurant in Clinton and it directed me straight here.

I’m in Clinton often and hadn’t heard of this place. I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised! As soon as you open the door, your senses immediately get hit with the smell of fresh herbs, garlic, and baking bread. Italian music is playing softly in the background. The tables are covered in thick, white plastic tablecloths. There are several tables to choose from and it’s quite roomy and decorated simply. The server promptly took my drink order as I perused the double sided menu. There’s appetizers, salads, pizza, sandwiches, all the traditional Italian dishes you’d expect. They have a lunch menu that I immediately took to. I chose the cannelloni, house salad, which is included, and ordered a side of olive oil dipping sauce (pesto) for my bread. The bread consists of 2 nicely warm rolls. Ripping the first roll apart, and then dredging it through the cheesy, garlicky, olive oil mixture, reminded me of Garozzo’s in KC. It’s that good! The price is much better, too!

While waiting for my entree, I happened to notice that the table to the left of me had ordered pizza. I was so tempted to ask them what they thought, but all I could think about was the Progressive insurance commercials, and didn’t want to be one of those people! LOL. But seriously, it did look good!
My entree was thin sheets of cannelloni pasta with 3 cheeses, beef, herbs, red sauce, and fresh spinach tucked between each layer. It was served in a piping hot plate, which the server advised me to be very careful. The portion size was good, enough so that I had some to take home with me. Yay! The server was kind enough to throw in a couple of fresh rolls to take home with the olive oil dipping sauce that I had remaining. Since I love my desserts, I had to take a peek at the dessert menu. There are several choices, but I finally decided on the limoncello cake. That was heading home with me as well! I highly recommend this Italian restaurant! It’s only been in business for 5 months. Word needs to get out about this gem! It’s hard enough for restaurants to make it, but this one has great food and hopefully, a strong following!
