“Slim Chicken” was my friend Ken Butler’s nickname back on the kickball field in middle school. We’d all yell “Bring in the outfield, Slim Chicken is at the plate!” But I really enjoyed my lunch from Slim Chickens in Statesboro today. I had the classic meal 4 piece tender. It was a good value, the chicken was tasty and I appreciated the extra garlicky flavor on the garlic toast. If you like the other chicken tender places, you should really try Slim Chickens in Statesboro .

Tonya was phenomenal!!! I went through the drive thru and she was the cashier! She was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. She did everything perfectly and with a smile in her voice and on her face, extremely impressed. I’m not certain I’ve gotten this good of service when I went through a drive through ever before in my life.

Better than PDQ. Chicken tenders were good. Service, meat. We stood waiting for 3 employees to take order. There were two of us there, all three employees, made it a point to avoid eye contact doing other tasks but clearly they could see we were standing at the counter to order in fact one of them walked within 2 ft of us but did not even acknowledge we were standing there and that they might need a minute. Like I said food is better than PDQ however the service is terrible. We had a $40 order and not so much as a thank you.

This is the second time we have visited this location. We ordered as soon as we walked in and had our food within 5 mins. It was hot and the chicken tenders were seasoned perfectly. The fried okra was a good side option.

This was my first time eating at Slim Chickens and I give the food between a 1-10, a big 10. The tenders tasted delicious ànd were juicy and tender. The homemade fries were also good and well seasoned, but not over seasoned like some places do their homemade fries. The Texas toast was also good; you can definitely taste the garlic butter when u bite into it. When it comes to your drink, they put your name on it, which minimizes your drink going to someone else #I like that. I ordered a chocolate milkshake and hands down it was so good. As you can see from the pic I posted they give u a large straw to use, which makes it so easy to drink your milkshake, unlike every other place I frequent, I receive a small straw that I have to deep throat just to barely get my milkshake to pass through to drink it. The drive thru was long, but they moved the line very quickly. Overall, great spot! Update: Did a mobile pick up order, when I got home with my food I noticed bbq sauce all over my fries, from my wings being placed on top of them, (last pic) I called the store and let them know, they easily said they will replace my meal if I came back to the store. I didn’t want to since, I was home and I live far out, so they put my name in a book that they list people names to replace orders and all u do when u do go back to the store is say your name is in the book and they will replace your order with no problems. FYI if you get a big order, ask for the fries to be on the side, bc they do place the entire order in one box. Employees were very nice and informative on how they package certain orders. #satisfied customer

There’s nothing special about their chicken. I was treated rudely by the cashier taking my order, literally “What do you want?” No hello, or anything else. I almost left then. I ordered nuggets with Korean BBQ sauce. I just didn’t care for the sauce. Im sure others woukd like it. When I asked for a different dipping sauce, I had to pay extra for it. I won’t be back. If the food was excellent, I would overlook the treatment, but it’s not.

The service was phenomenal. I was served by a great young lady named, Salena. Her hospitality is something rare that Statesboro and its businesses really need! She was quick to take my order and I received it just as I ordered it. Her smile was inviting as she came over and check on the quality of my food. Definitely will be coming back and spending another morning here! She definitely was a great addition—as I have frequently been to this establishment. Thank you, Salena!

First time seeing here, and I was pleased. The staff was super friendly, there was a very nice atmosphere in the dining area, and the food was tasty! I had the Memphis style Bbq sandwich, and it was way better than you would expect from a fast food place, great fries also! I also tried the Strawberry Cheesecake Jar for dessert, it was delicious, but there were a few strawberries that were slightly frozen and that did take away from how good it was. Overall, I will definitely be visiting again!
