Several people tend to associate krautburgers with sauerkraut. Although some people use sauerkraut in their burgers, at Schwartz’s we use fresh steamed cabbage instead. It is a lot more work but we think it is worth it. Schwartz’s Krautburgers are made with fresh steamed cabbage, ground beef, onions and spices baked inside fresh made bread. Using an old family recipe, passed down through generations, we are proud to serve today’s generations. Other names for Krautburgers include Cabbage Pockets, Bierocks, Kraut runza, Bierochen and German Burgers.

The service was kind, the place is nice and clean! The burgers have a great flavor! Totally would recommend! The dough is also super tasty. However don’t expect a thick burger, it’s a different style these don’t have as much cabbage or meat compared to others I’ve had. Also if you’re not into velveeta type cheese pass on the cheese ones they have a lot of it almost takes away from the cabbage and meat. Still, happy to have come across this place will be back!

It was good, not the best kraut burger I’ve ever had but I will admit the texture was good and you can tell it’s good quality. I do wish there was a little more flavor to the meat inside. The cheddar jalapeno is good but the jalapenos are kinda lacking flavor. I need to go a second time just to see if it was an off day. The staff was polite and quick with our order and everything looked clean and in order inside. I do recommend trying it out, my taste buds might just be different than yours.

I was excited to learn that there was a German restaurant in Greeley. They are known for to have good krautburgers, and the one we ordered was good. I ordered the spatzle and bratwurst with gravy for myself. I have lived in Germany and traveled all over the country and I know the food well. The spatzle was fine; the brat was ok, however the gravy was a big disappointment as it was lacking in flavor, texture, mouthfeel and appearance. The service was fine.

Great food, krautburgers are the best around. The dough is so good they also make cinnamon rolls out of it. The cheese krautburgers are the best and melt in your mouth. The restaurant is kinda boring, the chairs are not too comfortable and the view is a parking lot, so good thing they make great food and have very nice people working very hard.

Best krautburgers in Northern Colorado. This was a large plate with 2 sides and a drink for 10.95. We also had a cinnamon roll and a piece of grebble. 2 adults shared this and were and felt full.
