Welcome to Winchester Bay, Oregon. The home of King Neptune a 58 year old landmark which began in 1964. We are the latest curators of this fine establishment. Had some family come from Wisconsin and Texas we stopped at King Neptune and it was a great choice. We all enjoyed our food. There was 20 of us. The 2 gentleman that were working 1 took our orders and the other was cooking we got our food in decent amount of time for as many people we had. Great place to eat.

Hamburgers are amazing! Fresh burger and you can tell by the taste and perfect amount of flavor. Fries are fresh but for me I dont like when the skin isnt removed before cooking. The vlaw chowder is jaw dropping. Extemely thick and chunky. I have to say with all my different clam chowders I have eaten, this is the thickest. Truely home made. This surely will be a hallmark spot for us in the future. Even with new owners they have lived up to their orginal name and exceeded all expectations.

Great food. They are good with customer service too. They were swamped and taking about to get the food out, so they offered me a free soda and the clam chowder. The clam chowder was super good; hearty and delicious . 10/10 would go again. The Franky was really good too.

For a small town Drive In seafood place, they have pretty damn good food. Recommend the chowder and fries, but make your fries parmesean garlic!!!

3 visits now and each time I leave satisfied, Great burgers, made with fresh beef, had a huge sandwich and fries, friendly staff, good service, older place but nice and clean… Gives it a nostalgic feel.

They did not disappoint!!! They took over the name, kept most of the menu, including the ice cream. And added their touch, as they should!!!
Today, I had the single patty cheese burger with pastrami. AND LET ME TELL YOU….JUST YUMMMMM!!!!!!
Now, I’m the type to have ‘a little burger with my ketchup’. Don’t ask, it’s literally the only thing I like ketchup on. This is the first time in an extremely long time that I Have Not put one drop of ketchup on my burger!!!
The burger is wrapped in this beautifully pleated wrap, pretzel bun I believe, shredded lettuce, onion, tomatoes, pickles, mayo, cheese, in house ground and pressed (yes, you read that right!!!) beef, and IN HOUSE SMOKED PASTRAMI!!!!
No joke!!!! I took a bite, and I could not believe the explosion that was happening in my mouth!!! The most simple ingredients, but what brought it all together was the smoked pastrami!! The way that it was so perfectly smoked, it wasn’t dry, it wasn’t over powering, it was literally freaking perfect!!!!! I apologize for not taking pictures of the burger, I couldn’t put it down! So there will be pictures next time I head there!!!!
