Almost hidden amongst the collective of other popular establishments in Brentwood, Flour is truly a standout shop that should not be missed. They serve a variety of pies and slices with quality flavors and ingredients.
I stopped by on a whim with my friend Monday afternoon and we were very impressed. We ordered a truffle and margherita slice with added burrata – both delicious. Where I think Flour truly shines is with their dough, which is the perfect balance between thin/thick.
Looking forward to my next visit!
This tiny shop packs a big punch with perfectly thin crispy crust and delicious flavor combinations.
I will say their pies are something between a thin NYC slice and an artisanal pie because of the quality of ingredients they are putting on top.
We tried the house, Bianca, spicy salami, and rossa slices. Toppings aside each pie was cooked to perfection with the thinnest crispy crust. No breakage but not overly chewy either.
The shop itself is small so there is only a few places to sit, but I’ll have to admit we were mesmerized watching the chefs cook as we ate.
Really great option for a strong take out pizza/slice in the west LA neighborhood. We hope to see more of Flour in the future!
Overall, a well balanced pizza that has a NYC flavor that is to die for. Highly recommend!
I believe I also met the owner who was very friendly and helpful when I was ordering.
We’ll be back! 🙂
Tucked in the **Brentwood Village** courtyard, **Flour’s Scratch Pizza** is the neighborhood pie palace that ruined all others for me . The **wood-fired oven** (imported from Naples) glows like a dragon’s heart; every pizza emerges blistered, chewy, **00-flour perfection** in 90 seconds flat.
The **burrata & hot honey pie** ($22) is **hall-of-fame level**: San Marzano sauce, fior di latte, **creamy stracciatella burrata** dollops that ooze like lava, finished with **Mike’s Hot Honey** drizzle and basil ribbons ️. Sweet-heat-cream trifecta—first bite = silence, second bite = moan . Crust? Leopard-spotted, **fermented 72 hours**, light yet sturdy enough for folding.
Classics don’t disappoint: **margherita** ($18) sings simplicity; **nduja & ricotta** ($23) brings spicy funk . **Gluten-free** crust ($+4) actually holds up. Starters? **Burrata board** ($16) with balsamic figs, prosciutto, grilled bread—shareable but you won’t want to .
**Vibes**: string lights, communal tables, dog-friendly patio . Service is **Westside warm**—water refills, pizza recs, zero attitude. Only quibble? **Tiny space** (20 seats)—come off-peak or order takeout (still hot in 5 mins). Parking validates 90 mins .
Craft beer list (8 taps), natural wines, and **housemade limoncello spritz** ($12) . Pro tip: add **truffle honey** to any pie for $3—trust me. I’m a weekly regular; my waistline hates me, my tastebuds send thank-you notes. Flour’s isn’t just pizza—it’s **therapy**. Brentwood, you’re spoiled.
If I go again, I think I need to order a fresh full pie. It might end up being the same price. Maybe I will try the burrata and honey. I would go again if I was in the area but not sit on the 405 just for it.
