I found this place yesterday, when i was in Elk Grove. The food tastes amazing. I tried variety of things and loved all of them. The medu vada was crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside, as they should be. The Tandoori Pomfret was soooo delicious! Loved the Mysore Masala Dosa and Gajar Halwa! Everything was super delicious. My American friend loved all the items as well. They have so many things on the menu, will love to try them all. Will definitely recommend and come back whenever I am on town.

Great spot for Indian food! Huge selection of dishes including various dosa and appetizers, and meat and vegetarian options. The pani puri appetizer was so delicious, and the samosa chat was pretty good too. Tried the paneer butter masala- very fragrant and spiced, mysore masala dosa- a spiced potato stuffed dosa, and garlic naan- classic flavor! I want to try the Malai kofta next time, that’s my fav veg dish. Definitely come hungry, you won’t be disappointed!

People were nice. However the food (Chicken tikki masala) was very mediocre. A lot of oil all over the plate. Onion chunks are very present as opposed to be mixed in with the food. And even the taste of the food wasn’t good either. Maybe it was just towards the end of the day, and people were tired but my experience with the food was not the best. The garlic Naan was good.

TASTY FOOD, BIG PORTIONS, RELATIVELY COST LESS, FASTER & ATTENTIVE SERVICE STAFFS. For sure, try this restaurant without thinking if you are looking for tasty South or North Indian food with great service around Elk Grove area. Today visited this place for 1st time communiting from UC Davis campus with my family and friends. We are originally from tri-valley bayarea surrounded by very good Indian restaurants. We ordered chicken soup, sweet corn soup, chicken curry dosa, channa battura, chilli paneer, chicken fried rice, goat curry taco, and paani poori. All of them were tasted great (above average). Portions are surprisingly very big and plenty. We couldn’t finish all and we eat full and took rest a to-go. We paid around 110+ which is way cheaper for these many items compared to typical bayarea Indian restaurants. The service was fast – may be within 20mins. Staffs were very attentive.

1 or 2 NOTES TO THEM: Coconut chutney taste given for Dosa could have been improved well like using freshly broken cocunut and try not to grind them like “powdered paste”. Typical good South Indian restaurant don’t grind them to almost powdered paste. Fried rice could have had little extra soy sauce or given it in a cup/packet.

I will for sure visit place again if I’m visiting Elk Grove or Sacramento area again.

Came here for dinner with my wife. She really wanted to try the Panpuri and it was shockingly delicious, an explosion of flavor. Tandoori chicken was flavorful and so was the butter chicken. Only downside was the portion size of the butter chicken compared to other restaurants we’ve tried.

Came across this place while visiting the Sac area. Amazing dosas! I live in the SF Bay Area which has a lot of great restaurants with southern Indian cuisine, and this ranks right up there in the quality and taste of dosas. They have an extensive menu of north Indian, southern Indian, and Indo-chinese fusion food and it all looked really good. Friendly and helpful service. Note that there is a lot of parking but the location is a bit dark at night.

The best spot in Elk Grove for butter chicken and garlic Naan in my opinion. The goat curry is delicious as well.

I’ve dined here four times and everything I had always tasted good. There’s a balance to their flavor- not overly sweet or creamy with the right amount of spice. Staff are polite. Dining area is clean, simple and has a homey feel.

Update: I went back for the pani puri. Wow. Fantastic. Just like in India. And the paneer butter masala didn’t look like what I usually make but it was absolutely delicious as well. Very big portions.

Old review: Oh my goodness- dosas were very good. Big abs plenty and they will bring more chutney and sambar as requested. Very nice service. I wanted to try the pani puri but I was too full! Will be back soon!
