If you own a small business and you want repeat customers, have the product that you’re advertising that you have. If you don’t have slices of pizza, take the sign down!
First visit was better:
I was so hungry for a slice of pizza on my errands today in downtown Latrobe. My
go-to place for a slice of pizza, midday, just happened to be closed (Hoping everything‘s all right there).
On my way home feeling kind of sad I came across the sugar shack with a sign in their yard advertising pizza by the slice! Super friendly people, quick service and a beautiful looking slice of pizza. You can never go wrong with a slice of pizza from a bakery! Look forward to stopping again and trying some other goodies from there.
This was my first visit to this charming local bakery, and I can confidently say it won’t be my last, it absolutely deserves all 5 stars. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with that warm, small town bakery feel that’s so hard to find these days. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and you can immediately tell that everything here is made with love and care.
The owners, a husband and wife team, of which I had the pleasure of meeting Jessica, who helped me during my visit. Jessica couldn’t have been more kind or welcoming, she really made the experience feel personal.
I tried a few items: the cinnamon roll, cherry turnover, and pepperoni rolls. Each one was fantastic. The cinnamon roll was perfectly soft with just the right amount of sweetness and cinnamon, definitely a standout. In fact, I typically heat my cinnamon rolls and add butter, but after just a little test nibble, I skipped my normal routine and devoured it right then. The cherry turnover was equally impressive, with a flaky, golden crust and a deliciously tart-sweet filling. And the pepperoni rolls? Savory, fresh, and satisfying.
Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality you’re getting. It’s clear this bakery takes pride in their craft.
I’m already looking forward to coming back and sampling more from their menu, especially the pizza, which I’ve heard great things about. If you’re in the area and love baked goods made with heart, this place is an absolute must visit.
Highly recommended!
It is a 45 minute drive for me BUT was it worth it.
