Used to be THE place for me to get bagels. The last few times were very disappointing. No care put into the preparation. Asked for the bagels to be sliced and they were all smooshed and sliced awkwardly . I’m wondering is it just the weekend crew because it has been mostly on Saturday that this happens. Giving 3 stars because maybe the weekdays are better.

I have been a customer for The Bagel Spot since I moved to the area in the 1990s. They have consistently been able to produce high quality bagels and spreads with many flavors. They even do a great job on bulk orders for business functions. Dropping off shopping bags full of bagels and spreads for folks to enjoy is one of the best things you can do when you have a team that you want to bring together.

They don’t serve any meat here, which caught me off guard. But the bagels are LEGIT!! Older guy in the back (assumed he’s the owner) whipping up the best bagels I’ve had since moving out of the bagel capital of the world (north jersey). They have an old school oven and the bagels are unmatched because of it. Lox cream cheese on a plain bagel, and the veggie sando are must a try.

Wanted to love this place. I’m new to the area, so it’s ridiculously convenient — but who cares about convenience if the product and service are subpar?
All I wanted was a bagel with cream cheese. How do you get that wrong when it’s written on the bag?! But let’s back up. When you walk in, don’t expect to be greeted. You’ll feel invisible. Nobody looks up. It’s a small shop, one other customer, and still—nothing.
Someone finally takes my order. The same person who made it wrong hands it to me. No personality, no warmth, but the bagel feels warm, so I rush out thinking “how hard could this be?” Spoiler: harder than you’d think.
Back at my office — wrong bagel. I go back. Again, no greeting. I explain, she remakes it, no apology. I check in the car — looks right this time. Back at the office, I bite in and wish I’d just quit while I was ahead. The bagel tastes old, the cream cheese is sad, and now I’m just annoyed and hungry.
Two stars because it was only $5. One for the bagel, one for the audacity.

Recently attended an event the Bagel Spot catered. We did delivery. Food was delicious. I have to say I tried the tuna fish and so glad I did – it was the best I have ever eaten out. Of course bagels, cream cheese and lox was very good.

The Bagel Spot always holds a nostalgic place in my heart. Growing up Kosher, this was our go to bagel jawn. This has been, and will always be a staple in the Cherry Hill Jewish community.
The bagels are always fresh, with a crisp shell and perfectly chewy dense inside. Pictured is just a plain bagel with a cheddar horseradish cream cheese. The 3 other bagels I took to go may had barely made it home.. ♂️

Use to be one of our favorite spots, but their bagels have been getting smaller and smaller and we are paying $6 for a bagel vegan cream cheese, there is barely any cheese on this bagel we got. I don’t know if my comment is going to make any difference, but don’t waste your money over here, they are becoming stingy with their products, I’m not saying, I don’t mind paying for the product, but don’t cut me off like , don’t cheat your customers. Give them good enough product that’s all I’m asking. Sad we have to find a different place now for bagels.

I ordered a surprise bag from Too Good to Go and when I went to pick up my order it was pulled right from the stock at the counter. I was given a choice of either 7 bagels or 4 bagels and a cream cheese. I chose the latter. The cream cheese is to die for and the bagels are so soft. 10/10 recommend

Another childhood memory dies…
Tasteless, hard rings of dough. You can see the lack of poppies in the pic. The 2 cinnamon raisin bagels had 2 and 3 raisins respectively.
Adding to the experience…no visible pricing (which made sense when they charged $1.70 each) and the general mess in the place. All of this helps to explain why I was the only one in the store the entire time.
RIP Bagel Stop / The Bagel Place. Seeing that you’re on hospice, it won’t be long now.

It’s a standing room only bagel shop that makes the best bagels in the area. Their Jalapeño cheddar is a must have.
