That said, the Firenze sandwich was phenomenal. It comes with Burrata Cheese, Basil Pesto (nut-free), Arugula, Tomato, Balsamic Glaze, Sicilian EVOO, Salt, and Black Pepper, and you can choose between a chicken cutlet or Prosciutto di Parma. I went with the chicken cutlet, and it was an excellent choice. The rustic Italian bread roll was the perfect base, crusty yet soft enough to hold everything together. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and well-balanced.
I also tried the Rose Gold Detroit-Style Pizza, which was very good. The crust was thick but still light, and the vodka sauce was delicious. I added pepperoni, which definitely elevated the flavor. The only real downside was the size as it’s only six small slices, and for $20, that feels overpriced.
Lastly, I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte. I asked for it extra hot, but it came out barely warm. The flavor was fine, but I would have enjoyed it much more if it had been served steaming hot as requested.
Overall, 4 out of 5 stars. I’d definitely go back for the chicken cutlet sandwiches as they’re worth the trip. I’d hesitate to get another pizza at that price point, and I’d skip the latte next time.
(I did email them ahead of time to make sure it was ok for our book club to meet here, and they had suggested we move our meeting up to 10am instead of 11am as it would get busy closer to lunch time. It did get a little crowd, but it wasn’t super crowded and we would’ve easily been able to get a table. I’m not sure if being Dec is part of that, or if that’s how it normally is on a Sunday morning.)
What a Cute Place! We devoured the salad before I could even take a picture! But the pizza was sooooo good, it’s light and fluffy and so full of flavor! Seriously going back for more
Only downside to this place is the parking lot is kinda hard to get in/out.
We had the Shredder Detroit style pizza and a giant chicken pesto sandwich- the dough was like a pillow and the bread for the sandwich was delicious! The chicken cutlets were fresh and crispy–and the ratio of toppings were perfect. The pizza had a crunchy cheese edge and really interesting toppings- we can’t wait to try the others.
Also took an iced latte and hot bourbon chai to go- both great!
Parking is a little wonky but we were too stuffed (as we left with our to-go boxes) and happy for that to matter.
Great experience!
