What an absolute gem! Fantastic decorations and atmosphere for the small town of van buren. We really enjoyed passing through and getting to eat here! Food was good, everyone was friendly! Only thing id ask for them to change it maybe put a handicap wall bar in the bathroom stall since your floors in the restroom are extremely slippery and dangerous.

Pretty tasty, good portion sizes. We were pretty much ignored by the staff. It almost felt like they only wanted to serve their regulars/locals. We sat ourselves and had to chase down menus after waiting a while without getting any and had to ask for refills. Once we were served, it was yummy and we were very full afterward! Would stop again if I was going that way, even with the oddities in service.

This was a below-average dining experience for me. First off, ordered a Modelo and the beer was brought in a room temperature bottle. Who, in their pea-brain would think that anyone would want that?! I decided to go ahead and not say anything then I just couldn’t stand it and brought it up to the waitress’ attention, a blonde young woman with a thin ponytail, her solution was to bring me a cold glass, instead of a fresh beer. I had only had about 2-3 sips. Ok, sure, I’ll try that. It only slightly improved the temperature of the beer. Then my date ordered shrimp diablo and she was brought sauteed shrimp. We also brought this up to her and she assured us that it was diablo shrimp -it was not. Diablo shrimp is in a ranchero sauce which is red, this stuff was shrimp with minced garlic in a butter sauce. My date said, “I don’t think it is” and the waitress’ response was to gloss over it, change the subject and say”do y’all need anything else, another beer or margarita?” (Dear God, no, not another room temperature beer) As if to say not My problem. My date then asked the manager to come over and asked him what was on her plate. He said “sauteed shrimp” she said “are you sure it’s not shrimp diablo?” He said “no, that’s sauted shrimp, Camarones a la diabla is in a red sauce and it’s spicy but it’s served up the same” she then explained to him the exchange she had with the waitress and her gaslighting her into accepting that it was diablo shrimp, when it clearly wasn’t. It also was not in a red sauce and was not spicy. We had already paid but even the manager didn’t try to make it right by offering a refund for the dish or anything. He was nice about everything else and very friendly not once did it enter his mind to offer small compensation of some sort, even tho he admitted that it was not the dish we had ordered. He did say he would talk to her about it, who knows if that happened. To top it off the margaritas were bland and served in a plastic cup, they could stand to polish up everything about their restaurant -service, training, presentation, etc. The pictures show that most of the dish wasn’t eaten. Additionally, they are advertised as tiger shrimp in the menu and those are regular-sized shrimp. Serve up the tiger shrimp or edit your menu to be upfront about what you are serving. it’s the only Mexican restaurant in the area, won’t be going back though

The best Mexican food in Missouri that I’ve had. We almost didn’t eat here, but I sure am glad we did. I got the trash can nachos and they were fantastic! Way more food than I was expecting. The service was really good also.

I spent a full 20 minutes just violently sniffing my food because of how good it smelled. It smelled like if Bob Ross was sitting right there painting my food and the paint didn’t smell like paint and actually smelled like really good smelling food. 10/10

I wouldnt say this is the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had but I also work at an elementary school where we have taco Tuesday sponsored by a french food supplier, so ya know how that is. Anyways I didnt have high hopes for this place, I just needed something edible on a road trip and this did fulfill that purpose,
Please enjoy this picture of what they think Mexican street corn, one of my favorite foods is.
Waiter (Tyler?) was chill.

This was our first time eating here, and we will be back. The food was fantastic! We tried the shrimp chimichanga, the steak tacos, and the steak fajitas. It was hard to pick our favorite. Our server, Hadley, was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant. We will definitely be back!

#1. We were seated drinks orders were taken promptly but service was lacking. Took at least 10min to get drinks. Margarita was wrong flavor. They brought 1 small individual bowl of salsa for the three of us. Salas was good but 1 bowl for 3 people was insufficient. Befor I could ask for more our waiter took off. When she came back for our dinner order we ask for more salsa for all of us and ordered a large cheese dip. They brought 1 individual size bowl of salsa. Cheese dip came later, it was a good quantity and good taste. Before we could ask for chips for the cheese dip our waiter disappeared. By the time server returned for our dinner order our cheese dip was cold because we had no chip. Not to mention needing napkins to wipe table from trying to share salsa between 3 people out of 1 bowl.
I left before dinner paid $25 for cheese dip and a margarita from a clear solo cup
