The most tender carne asada i have ever had. Got the California burrito and it was amazing. Chips and salsa was super fresh and delicious. Affordable pricing with good portions. Very casual authentic experience

Best Mexican food in Utah. My boyfriend and I go to Rio Sonora quite a bit and I’ve yet to have anything I didn’t like. Food is always amazing and wait times aren’t too long. We normally stick to tacos when we come, the birria taco being one of the best things on the menu. Recently I tried their Al pastor burrito and I think I have a new favorite. If you’re ever In the area, it would definitely be worth it to stop by.

I tried the al pastor burrito and the fish tacos and both were really good! Pretty reasonable prices as well for the portion sizes. This place is tucked away so unless you’re looking for it, it’s easy to miss.

I loved the food here, the portions were much more generous than I normally expect and full of flavor. I had 2 each of the fish and asada tacos. The fish was battered and fried perfectly and retained its moisture on the inside, while the steak was tender and juicy. I only wish that the batter on the fish was crispier, but I attribute that to the batter getting soggy from the moisture since I did takeout and had it sitting in the takeout box longer than I should’ve. Nevertheless, the guacamole was generous and all the flavors blended well together.

The sauces that they provide on the side also complimented my tacos quite well.

I will definitely be coming back again for the “dine in” experience.

I was told this is only on the weekends because the rest of the week, they are a food truck.
It’s an old looking building. They keep it clean and welcoming. Walk in and order right there. The menu is small & not many choices. No chicken options. Got tacos and a burrito. Drinks are water from a cooler in small styrofoam cups or soda cans. We asked and received a cup of ice. Then you sit and wait.
Service was quick and friendly. Everything was tasty and liked. I found my cuts of meat to have more gristle than one would expect. Overall it was a good tasting burrito. Everyone loved their tacos but had the same experience with their steak.
Would we come back? Maybe.

This is a hidden gem in an obscure strip mall in Provo. They have the best carne asada in the valley, so get anything with it–tacos, burrito, or plate. The carne asada plate is great. Good sauces as well. Service is friendly and helpful.

Okay guys, no joke. This is Mexican. Perfection. The style of presentation is reminiscent of eating with actual Mexican families for me, and the food was universally phenomenal. The asada was exceptional. And y’all, the BIRRIA TACOS. I gotta eat 1, 3, or 5 because I CANT EVEN. I legit gave the owner/chef a hug afterwards because dang, y’all. I mean. Dang. Just go.

Quick update – went back for lunch today because I had to. The Hermosillo Hot Dog is absolutely dope as well. The bun is unlike any hot dog bun I’ve had before – super unexpected surprise. These guys definitely deserve your attention.

Pardon my French, but la nourriture est magnifique!

We tried their street tacos at the Taco festival, they were a solid choice. Tender and flavorful meat, cooked right in the spot, made to order…and they gave two corn tortillas with each taco, which is the way we like it. We tried the Carna asada which was a great choice.
