My wife and I order shrimp spring rolls, crab rangoon for appetizers. They were AWESOME!!! Then we shared the Singapore rice noodle dish. It was loaded with shrimp and pork. It had the perfect seasoning. Mouthwatering!! Thanks for a wonderful dinner.

I ordered the beef and broccoli dinner combo. Best, tender beef I’ve ever had in a Chinese restaurant. The egg roll was piping hot. Also got fried dumplings that we enjoyed. $25 total. This is THE ONLY Chinese restaurant I will go to in Columbus and I lived in Toronto!

We were searching for a sit down Chinese restaurant as our favorite in our neighborhood doesn’t offer a dine in experience. Cafe China on the other hand does, and does it well. All of our dining choices were excellent and well proportioned. Will definitely go back for any upcoming special occasion.

First time ordering. Once was enough. Visually, everything looked stunning so I was looking forward to the meal. Ordered orange chicken with vegetable fried rice as the side (up charge), chicken egg roll, and crab rangoon.
The orange chicken was hard to eat as it was super chewy. The orange sauce was delicious though. I was charged for vegetable fried rice but did not receive it. It was flavorless either way though. This is the first time I’ve come across crab rangoon I didn’t like. Egg roll had a huge gristle inside midway. I honestly can’t recommend this place.

It’s decent American style Chinese. Lunch portions are huge for the price. I’ve had the lo mein, egg rolls, spring rolls, and hot & sour soup. All good. The pad Thai is not like traditional pad Thai but still tastes good.

The food here looks absolutely amazing, but has Minimal FLAVOR, and is Incredibly, Amazingly, and Overwhelmingly Mediocre, … and Unbelievably Unremarkable !!!!

But if you prefer bland food that tastes like fryer-grease and monosodium glutamate, you’ve come to the right place… I’ve even requested that my entrees be prepared Extra, Extra, Extra Spicy, and they still come out with Minimal FLAVOR…

I asked them what their best selling entree was, and they told me it was their General Tsao’s Chicken. I ordered it Extra Spicy, along with a bowl of hot & Sour Soup. The Entree left me feeling Bloated for the rest of the day, and the soup was salty (not spicy) and very disappointing.

This place does have a big following, but they are the only Asian Restaurant within a 5 mile radius. I truly wish I could give them a higher rating, but sadly I think 4 stars is being generous. Until my recent visit I had them rated as a 3, but they have improved.

I have been coming here for a long time. It’s definitely hit or miss. The last several orders, the chicken has been way off. Almost inedible, but I hate waste. My 12 year old son will not eat it. I’m sure there is no point in complaining about to go orders, not like they would refund the money. The service here is not the best. Don’t order orange chicken, thinking you will get orange chicken. It is 100% their sesame chicken, just without sesame seeds. Overly sweet and drowning in sauce, which makes the breaded chicken soggy.

I cannot say I agree with some of these reviews. Upon my few dine-ins with Cafe China the experience has never been disappointing. Upon my last couple visits most orders are for take out, so the restaurant inside is reasonably quiet and vacant. Which is by no means bad. I’ve had the Szechuan chicken and kung pao chicken, both dishes are very good. They’re fried rice is unlike most places. It is loaded with veggies and egg and is very good also. I would definitely recommend this place as they have a vast menu, friendly staff and good service, and most of all food that is worth the price.

Ordered General Tso’s lunch special. The chicken wasn’t tender and several pieces inedible – a rubbery, dry texture. The white rice was good and the portion size could have been for two.

Call and place order at 445pm. Told 520pm be ready. Showed up waited waited more called and asked and waited more. Close to 90 minutes later we get our food. Worst service and the food was gross we threw it away. Worst place I would recommend the dumpster behind McDonald’s before here.
