Bao is friendly and crafts these drinks with care. It was the perfect temperature and sweetness. If you know me, you know I love matcha: this is the best one I’ve ever had!
The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is chic and cozy, and I will definitely be back again soon 🙂
I love to check out trendy coffee shops when I’m out of town. Have never seen yogurt coffee, not even in Orange County, CA and decided to try that. I knew it would be a gamble because I do not like the tarty sour flavor of Vietnamese yogurt.
My first sip and immediate reaction, I did not like. Definitely that wiff of sour tartness shot up my nose. Not to mention the semi thickness texture. As I took another sip, I’m starting to like it. It’s tolerable but I wouldn’t get it again.
It was well balanced with coffee and condense milk.
I love that the menu is basic and doesn’t offer a lot of fo-fo drinks.
So much culture in this cafe. Tons of cultural books both for adults and children.
The recommended drink here is the yogurt coffee. The previous review saying the yogurt coffee is too tart must have had their taste buds obliterated by starbies or something. It was very normal. Me when the drink called yogurt coffee tastes like yogurt and coffee
Yogurt coffee was very tart, like extremely tart. Didn’t care for it at all, as the coffee was bitter too. Unless you really want a tart coffee I would stay away from this drink.
The pandan and veit coffee were not so much better. The pandan was good but the pandan overpowered the coffee flavor so didn’t taste like much else. Each drink we got the coffee tasted off, nothing like the Vietnamese coffees we have had at other shops and in Vietnam. Not sure if they’re using a different type of bean or something but we did not like it.
I would skip this place and try some of the other Viet coffee shops around.
They have a website with menu and pictures.
