We have eaten at Wapos (Erie, Co.) several times and have enjoyed the food. The staff are friendly and helpful when we order (especially for our daughter who is gluten free).
The restaurant interior is plain, but friendly. The one thing we like is the large glass front, which can be open in warm weather.
If in downtown Erie and you like Mexican cuisine, stop in and try it.

This place is outstanding! Our waiter, Moses was fantastic! The food was phenomenal, large portions, and very neat presentation. The margs are awesome and the atmosphere of the entire area is so good! We loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Very happy with the “skinny margarita” – no sugar and delicious and strong! Fajitas had a lot of shrimp in this order. The tacos were not the best ever but I like the variety they had on the menu – would try the fish tacos next time for sure. Overall happy there is a local spot for decent Mexican food!

The food was great with flavorful sauces and generous portions. But the real story is the delightful service. I’m guessing this restaurant is a passion project for its owners and it shows in the friendly greeting, rapid service, and genuine enthusiasm that requested from everyone that assisted us.

The food is a bit hit and miss. I usually love their burritos. They are huge and very filling. Enchiladas were not quite the way I like them but it could be just me. I found them a bit dry. Also their ceviche was missing the liquid and tasted dry. I do like this place though. The staff is very nice.

The food here is so good. I also highly recommend the margaritas. Our server was knowledgable and speedy. We had the opportunity to meet the owners and they are kind and passionate about their work. I had the beef enchiladas and my daughter had the beef taco kids meal.

Best Mexican food in Northern Colorado hands down. Great staff, fast service, and wonderful authentic Mexican food. Margaritas are awesome, and the salsa is spot on. 10/10 highly recommend!

I had out of state family visiting so I was excited to take them to Wapos for dinner. I have been there several times before and enjoyed it. What a huge disappointment! To begin with, the restaurant was filled with flies. They were annoying us and settling on our food-ick. We were the first customers there at 5:00-why hadn’t they done something before we came in? The food was so so. The chimichangas were large and filled with chicken that was dry. We paid extra and received a tiny amount of guacamole and sour cream. The OMG burrito was filled with chicken and a scant amount of the advertised beans, rice, and cheese. The service was fair and our waiter argued that the burrito was filled correctly. No, we won’t be back.

Not quite the old Wapos we’re used to from Boulder; the atmosphere here is just a little more classy and clean. The food’s about the same, though, and the servers and waiters are still friendly!
