Reviews
I’ve gotten to enjoy Santi’s lunch menu and dinner menu. I’ve also experienced service from the dining room and bar. No matter where I am sat or the time of day I always have a fabulous experience.
Aside from the restaurant’s wonderful atmosphere the food is truly out of this world good. I am always pleasantly surprised with every dish. Their dishes have opened my eyes to foods I would never usually try or order and I always end up LOVING them! Some of my favorite dishes I’ve had from past visits have been the Faraona, Garganelli, Mare, Insalata, and the Gamberi Rossi. You must have dessert at Santi too. The Sole e Luna I had at my most recent visit was life changing to say the least. I dream of that dessert daily!
Santi is a must try if you are looking for a new spot to dine at in the city!
Unfortunately, the only thing that significantly impacted my overall impression was the experience with the hostess. I arrived earlier than my friend and checked in my coat. I was told to wait for my friend before they could check for a table, which I understood. However, I was not offered a seat at the bar, even though there were many empty bar stools available. Instead, I was asked to wait in a corner, which felt very uncomfortable and unwelcoming.
When my friend arrived, I was then immediately told that I could sit at the bar and wait for our table. This left me genuinely confused as to why I wasn’t allowed to sit there earlier and feel comfortable while waiting.
In addition, the hostess’s overall attitude felt quite unfriendly. For a restaurant of this level, I believe the front-of-house experience should match the excellence of the food and service. A more professional and welcoming approach would truly elevate the entire experience.
The atmosphere is incredibly chic with a gorgeous bar and perfect ambiance for an intimate group dinner. The staff warm and attentive. A seamless, sophisticated experience all around.
the desserts… they’re a masterpiece! Each one is a creation worthy of an artist, both in presentation and taste.
I want to especially thank the kitchen team for their hard work and dedication. To the managers, thank you for your hospitality. And to the waiters, thank you for your impeccable service and constant smile. This experience was truly unforgettable, and I can’t wait to come back.
Every dish feels deeply considered, from the flavors to the presentation, and the service is consistently attentive without being overwhelming.
Dining here always feels special, and Chef Michael White delivers a level of cooking that’s remarkably reliable, and he never disappoints.
If you want a meal that’s both comforting and refined, Santi is the place I always send people.
The gamberi rossi was such a good start — super flavorful and really well-balanced. The octopus was another standout for me; perfectly charred, and the sunchoke on the side was unexpected but totally worked.
My favorite dish of the night was the tagliatelle. So much blue crab, super tasty, and the pasta was cooked just right. The lobster for secondi was also really good — tender and full of flavor.
We were so full by the end that we couldn’t even think about dessert, so that’ll have to wait for next time.
About the pacing — I know some people say it’s slow, but I actually liked it. It felt like the kind of place where you’re meant to take your time, talk, and just enjoy the night. We were there for a little under 2.5 hours, and it didn’t feel long at all.
And I have to shout out the bread they bring around. The server told us it’s all made in-house, and it was honestly amazing — super fluffy and perfect with a bit of butter.
Would definitely come back.
I don’t remember the names of each dish but my favs were definitely the red prawns from the crudos, grilled octopus from the apps, the truffle pasta and the lobster from the main.
Dessert was also another highlight that’s not to be missed! Highly recommend to try as many as you could!
Amanda was also very great to work with on getting a large party reservation and setting the prefix menu, she was very professional, helpful and quick. Great experience overall!
