Our Story After nearly 36 years as co-owner of Papa Bear restaurant, Niko Andriopoulos has some exciting news to share. Papa Bear was part of the community for the last 36 years, I have always loved the city and the people of Aurora and can’t wait to be back. After two years of Papa Bear closing, I am opening up a new fast-food restaurant on 357 E. Indian Trail called Gyro Pit. Gyro Pit’s menu will include some of the best gyros in town plus beef sandwiches, our mouth-watering BBQ ribs, chicken, and fresh burgers. Everyone was very welcoming and so friendly. We sat outside on the patio to eat. The gyros were amazing! So fresh and the perfect temp. Very filling! I had enough to take home with me for later. If you get the chance, definitely give them a try!

This place has really good food and great service, the food was fooding big time, smelled so good it took a week to get the smell out of my truck. Thats how you know you have good Greek food, when the aroma light up your vehicle without you even opening the bag. The people are very nice, seems to be family owned and operated.

Very good little restaurant! People working were very friendly and the place was clean.
I got a crispy chicken sandwich and my wife got the gyros.
Both were excellent and will definitely be back!
The only thing I want people to know is that there is only 1 table IN the restaurant. There’s outdoor seating, but that doesn’t help in the winter lol

Best place in town!! The gyros is amazing – best one I have ever had and I am obsessed with the gyro pit chicken sandwich. The chicken is so tender and mouthwatering. DON’T FORGET THE CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUP! You will die and go to heaven – and then go back to Gyro Pit.

Absolutely LOVE this gem! This business is truly admirable. The food is DELICIOUS! We’ve had a bit of everything from the menu and it’s always great. (Gyros, burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, desserts.) We recently catered from them for our son’s 15th birthday and it was absolutely AMAZING! Everyone loved the Greek chicken & potatoes. This has become our regular spot to dine in. Always happy to support a business with so much integrity that gives back to the community. Customer service is excellent! The staff are always so kind. Highly recommended!
