I ordered chicken and broccoli. The chicken was lukewarm and didnt look like chicken . It was very rubbery and fatty. I have been looking for a good chinese restaurant but this missed the mark. Will not be back.

If you like good Chinese food – never go to this restaurant. Tasteless slosh. Vegetable fried rice – not a single snow pea and soggy. In fact, hardly any vegetables. Not one ordered item was worthy of one star. Sad.

We tried Red Sun on our ongoing quest for the best sesame chicken Rochester has to offer. It was a disappointing experience.
We spent over $50 on two menu items with fried rice and 2 egg rolls. It was an absurd amount for take out Chinese food for two, so I suppose this already set our expectations too high.
The fried rice was devoid of egg, vegetables, or anything else you’d typically expect for an upcharge for fried rice.
The sesame chicken was simply not sesame chicken. It was missing both the expected flavor and texture.
Overall the food was overpriced and bland.

We had 8 people and everyone enjoyed their meal. The only “complaint” was the seseme chicken had a slight orange flavor to it. Not bad, just unexpected for seseme chicken. I got Buddha Delight, a vegetarian dish but removed the tofu and added chicken. It was very good. I tried from other’s plates: house lomein, beef and broccoli, wonton soup, all were really good. But my niece got the lemon chicken and it was great! And the portions were very large. I can’t tell you the last time we ALL enjoyed our Chinese food. Since the Jade Palace in Webster went down hill years ago we have been searching for good Chinese and we have tried a lot of places. The staff was great, everything was clean. It was a little pricey but we all brought home leftovers for another meal. We will go back again!

Horrible experience beginning to end !
The waiter for our table was very short and somewhat rude throughout our entire experience. He seemed to be taking care of the entire rest of the restaurant by himself. Not the hibachi area which seemed like it had 2 or 3 waitresses at the time but the entire outer area of the restaurant. We could see him filling drinks and taking orders while we sat waiting. It didn’t appear that any of the other tables were sharing the attention of their servers as we were. As they were all receiving their drinks and food items in a timely manner. It was clear that his attention to the entire restaurant affected not only his service but his attitude. It took at least 30 minutes before we placed our orders. And another ENTIRE HOUR before the chef was at the table. During the duration of this time we waited for our soup and salads which were served about 30 minutes apart from each other. Drinks were only refilled if we could flag our waiter down. The food was almost as bad as the service. The rice was dry everything else tasted very salty for some reason. The worst part was watching an entire table be seated and served before we were. Did I mention we were seated at a table with three screaming toddlers that didn’t stop the entire 2hrs we were waiting for dinner.
And I can’t say that I blame them as we were starving ourselves. We are very disappointed as we were told this was the best hibachi in the area If they were short staffed we shouldn’t have been seated. If the wait was going to be two hours we should have been informed so appetizers could have been ordered or we could have just simply left.
We were so exhausted from listening to the hungry kids at our table that we basically just boxed our food to go and left. Which was a huge mistake as the food was even worse 20 minutes later back at home and we just tossed it all.

Fantastic decor and atmosphere. We even had live harp during dinner. Food tasted fresh and higher quality than your typical takeout, although still mostly Americanized options like sesame chicken and such. Reasonable prices forces the quality and quantity. Personally I would still probably prefer PF Chang’s but this is a pretty solid addition. Glad to see more fine Chinese dining (vs takeout). Try to the crab fried wontons, they were delicious!

Ordered for pick up. For the price I was expecting a lot more, but it’s just regular Chinese takeout. $20 for rice and sweet and sour chicken is absolutely insane. $16 for lo mein??!? What???!
I could get the same thing, much better, for almost a third cheaper, anywhere else. Food was unimpressive, flavorless, and chewy. The fried rice was absolutely terrible…very starchy, devoid of eggs or veggies, tasted like cardboard. The inside of the restaurant looked nice and the person who gave me my food was very friendly, however, I will not return. The food was extremely disappointing and almost double the cost of any other Chinese takeout.
