I’ve been coming here for almost a year now under the current ownership. The previous ownership was much nicer and personable. The current ownership is a bit rude to customers. Today, as I was buying food and had to get back to work, they were laughing at me for some reason. I know I don’t look like your regular clientele so you don’t have to disrespect me like that. I brought them other customers, boy do I regret that. You do something nice for someone and they go disrespect you. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon. Don’t give me weird vibes and disrespect me. Sometimes their chicken isn’t cooked fully – I was going to excuse them for that as an honest mistake but why should I after you disrespected me?

I love their Fried chicken every single time I go I get fried chicken with oxtail gravy! When I have events I order their fried chicken as well that’s how much I love it! I can’t speak for anything else but they’re fried chicken, it’s consistently juicy and not dry each time I’ve gone so I stick to it! And their rice is so airy and fluffy, not sure how they do it, but it’s good!

Everything is covered up so you have to ask to see each individual option.
Didn’t have a lot of the items/ food option when we went.
Asked for my receipt and didn’t have any paper left to actually give one.

NO MENU STILL FOOD COVERED UP LIKE ITS A MYSTERY Disgusting food it’s like them move and the food get worse. Now I called ahead and ask these unprofessional ppl if there was veggies or salad and I was told yes. In under 10 mins I was there only to be told there was none. Why not say it’s a limited amount instead of lying !!! Then this ugly rude server with no manners handled the food all kind of way when making my friend plate it turned me off from wanting anything I decided to go else where. My friend now got fry chicken n macaroni salad WORSE food every wasted money. WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK and im tell everyone don’t even waste time. ROOTSMAN or FLAVAS if you want food worth your money STAY AWAY FROM THESE UNPROFESSIONAL PPL

Fried chicken had no taste. Even tasted old and really soft like I was eating stew chicken. There was also no gravy on my rice. The dish was a colossal fail.
Update: I have tried there ackee and saltfish and it was the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The cook really put his foot in the foot that day lol.

Been in the US for couple months searching for a little piece of back home and I finally found it today hands down this place is the best and the Red Peas Soup is to die for. I definitely recommend it Food is amazing so if you miss Jamaica and want a restaurant to go to its worth the drive I Swear. Looking forward to being a regular as of today

Good but they run out of food quick. The workers are nice. It’s difficult to find parking and it’s not a very good area.We enjoy the food at the Jamaican restaurants in our city so when we recently found ourselves in Bridgeport, we thought we’d check this place out. The food was tasty and flavorful as expected, and sold at reasonable prices.

Alright so on Thursday I went to them and I got a small box of fried chicken to eat with fries I had at home. So I went and placed my order this lady gonna look at me talking about “you sure, you don’t want any rice and peas” ma’am do you ask yuh other customers if they sure about what they want. STEUPS.
