Cute spot for us to grab a quick lunch, while working in the area. The server was very sweet and took good care of us! We had our Jolie Fleur with us, but left her in our SUV, but they do have nice deck. On this day it was not open for outside dining. It may be that you could bring your dog during the spring and summer. The Pickwick area had just endured a huge ice storm with power outrages and trees down everywhere, so because of that we did understand things were just trying to get back to normal. We were very happy to support local businesses. I would say under better circumstances this spot would be a great place to hang out on the deck and enjoy some great food! Definitely worth stopping in if you are in the area.

Went in tonight for the first time. Ordered the big plate of ribs to share. (2 people) It came with half of a baked potato, baked beans, cole slaw and a piece of Texas toast. We ordered a side of potato salad and the other half of the baked potato and an extra piece of Texas toast. We did not, but I like that you can swap sides if you don’t want the ones that come with the meal. The ribs were pretty good but kinda tough. They were definitely not the “fall off the bone” kinda meat. The bbq sauces in the bottles were good. There was hot and mild. I liked the mild better personally. The baked beans were good. The cole slaw- so so. The potato salad tasted like the same you can buy in a grocery store deli. We didn’t care for it. Texas toast had melted margarine on top. Not sure why they dont just serve the whole baked potato. I know everyone is trying to cut corners and save money but I’ve never been anywhere ever that serves a half of baked potato and potatoes are not that expensive. Our server was very nice and checked on us often. I ordered a piece of the homemade key lime pie to take home. It was good, but a pretty scrawny piece of pie for almost $5. All of our food was about $32. We both ordered water. The drinks were almost $3 each. The building is built on stilts/piers cause its built over a huge land drop off… the wooden walkway leading to the front door needs replacing. You can feel soft spots where wood is rotting and you can see it in some spots. It would be tragic if someone fell through it as it would probably be fatal. The interior was clean and comfortable. I liked the lake map on the wall. We live in Pickwick so we will come back again and try some different menu items next time.

Enjoyed ribs yesterday and it was wonderful. Friendly service, good food.
Its hard to make a decision, need to come back.
Can sit outdoors as well as inside.

The cheese and sausage plate was a lot smaller and only had like 3 or 4 cheese pieces had lots of cut cup pickles and maybe 8 small sliced sausage. I understand prices have got up on everything ,but this is not worth the price. The pork loin sandwich has gotten very small for the price also . The service was very poor never was ask if we wanted a refill on drinks or anything and we were the only ones in there at that time ! The key lime pie was so tart you could hardly eat very sour ! The tip is added to you ticket instead of you giving one . I believe in tipping since I’ve worked in restaurants to,but if your not asked if you need anything I don’t think they should add it to your ticket at the end either. The baked beans tasted kinda burnt like they had to much seasoning! The food was just not as good as I remember it being.
