The service was great. They gave us great recomendations and translated the menu into English for us. They recomended us the right wine. The food was just great. All ingridients are homemade. The desserts were delicious. The atmosphere was very calm and almost homely, each table was served with care and respect. Thank you very much. If we are ever in Paris again, we will definitely come again.

One of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time in Paris. Delicious homemade, perfectly cooked and seasoned southwestern France specialties that are the pride of the team running the restaurant.

A funny story that shows how truly authentic this place is: decades ago in France when you ordered a Coke with your meal in a decent restaurant, the waiter would turn up his nose and simply refuse. Pas possible! With the influx of tourists flowing into the country, this is something I haven’t seen for a long time even in fancy restaurants.

What a surprise when our son who is half-French, half American and has lived most of his life in North American asked for a Coke with his cassoulet and was told there was no Coke in the place! For a reason: not only is Coke filled with sugar, but it’s the wrong kind of sugar and certainly doesn’t go with this kind of a meal.

My husband and I got a good laugh because I have written several books about the French and their ways and one side of his French father’s family comes from southwestern France so we know all this. Our son “knows” it as well but in spite of his French genes, does not identify with it in any way! Even without the Coke, though, he very much enjoyed the cassoulet (which he drank with water).

So many French restaurants these days cater to tourists, giving them improbable combinations of food and drink. Few remain honest and true to regional culinary traditions. I applaud these restaurateurs for doing so.

This is an exceptional experience not just a meal. The concept is incredible food in a relaxed atmosphere. Anne, our host and part-owner, was very accommodating, friendly and informative. The cassoulet menu was a beautifully presented meal; the still bubbling main dish was comfort food to the max.

We visited Lou Tiap with my family one evening in late September, staying at a nearby hotel. Although reservations are typically required, we were lucky to find a table available. From the moment we stepped inside, we could feel the love and passion the owners have for their restaurant. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, and Anne, the hostess, was beyond attentive and kind. She took the time to explain the menu, which is inspired by the cuisine of southern France.

The table was set in a simple, charming way, and the dishes were incredibly fresh, straight from the fire. We enjoyed cassoulet, ray and duck – all of which were exceptional. The restaurant is small, cozy, and blissfully free from loud music or unnecessary noise, making it the perfect place to enjoy a quiet, delicious meal. A wonderful experience overall!

Welcoming, relaxed restaurant serving tasty, homely food at a very reasonable price. There’s a focus on Gascony and the South of France. My companion went for the ‘Cassoulet Menu’ which was greatly enjoyed. I wanted the dramatic, fluffy soufflé at the end! We were very well looked after and the wine suggestion was excellent. Definitively recommended – we’d love to go again!

Nothing short of great! The dishes were hearty, satisfying and tasty. Generous portions with tons of flavor.
The woman (I guess she was the owner) who attended our table was a perfect match to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant: funny, entertaining and welcoming.

Cassoulet and liverre a la royale were out of this world. Let the hostess walk you Armagnac souffle is a must. Finally admire and congratulate the chef on a one man show in the kitchen.
