Inside the restaurant really looks like stepping on the streets of Mykonos. The baklava was amazing. We also ordered the falafel gyro platter and shrimp suflaki and chicken gyro. We all loved our food but what we loved even more was meeting the owner Thomas. He is naturally entertaining and charismatic! Chatting with him after we finished our meal was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Just got home with our food that we ordered on the phone. This was our second time ordering from Yassou. We enjoyed our chicken gyros so much the first time that we ordered them again. Plus we ordered two sides – gigante beans and rice pilaf. The beans were absolutely delicious, however the rice pilaf was a big disappointment. First of all, it was not rice pilaf. It was basic basmati rice and worse was, it was seasoned with cilantro. Cilantro?? In a Greek rice side dish? And you pay $9.00.

Had a large Greek salad with lamb. It was real meat not compressed. Pricey compared to other places I’ve been but far superior quality of meat and freshness of vegetables. First time I’ve have had capers in a Greek salad. It was a pleasant surprise.

It was not a great experience. I asked about the menu prices and was responded to in a way that I felt was rude. They increased their prices but not the quality of food. Customer service I felt we had to look for vs given to us as an experience. I won’t be going back.

Great service, good food, good price and good size serving. Lamb and beef will need a little more fat to be juicy else a little on the dry side. Tzatziki sauce was awesome.

I hate to write poor reviews on small businesses but it needs to be done when appropriate. Only reason this is not a 1 star review is because most of the food itself is actually delicious. However their platters (at least for takeout) are severely under portioned and not worth anywhere near $16.
My family placed an order for takeout a few days ago and I myself ordered the falafel platter. We were shocked at the portion sizes and what was included.
Falafel platter literally had 5 pieces of falafel, the sauce and pita. That’s it…. Didn’t get my side. Lettuce was BARELY included, had to use lettuce from my refrigerator. No onions, no tomato, cucumber etc… like you would find at any other Greek place that serves platters. And feta is $2.00 extra charge on an almost $20 VEGGIE platter? Come on.
Another family member got orzo as a side and it was literally just boiled orzo. nothing else added, no seasoning. Not even a drizzle of olive oil.
Again only saving grace was most of the food we ate was tasty. Other than that won’t be coming back here for takeout.
