My first complaint about A&W in Algoma was the unsanitary passing of food. I am not usually one to complain much, but when your drive thru window worker has plaque psiriosis so bad his entire arms and hands look like they are scabbing, do not pass food. Furthermore, the individual was NOT wearing gloves. I have psiriosis myself, and I am fully aware that psiriosis causes excess skin to fall off the infected area it covers. This is gross, and unsanitary.
My second complaint was the food. The photos I included are of a “Double Papa Burger,” and the seasonal Pumpkin Spice shake with ‘whip cream and a cherry.’
The third complaint is that my food took over 11 minutes to prepare, and I was the only customer the entire time I was waiting. This makes me wonder what other unsanitary activities go on here, with no food prep.
My order totaled $47.00 and included two more orders that were NOT assembled poorly.
FOR $47.00, THIS IS THE SERVICE I GET:
1) SEVERELY UNSANITARY HANDLING OF MY FOOD.
2) POORLY ASSEMBLED FOOD.
3) LENGTHY WAIT TIMES.
STAY AWAY FROM A&W in Algoma, unless you feel like getting sick or getting bad food.

Went on a little impromptu drive from Sturgeon Bay for dinner and A&W sounded good. While the cheesecurds and ranch were delicious, the Papa Burger really hit the spot. Service was great in drive-thru, too! Thank you!

Really friendly staff and the food’s pretty solid. Wait times are usually quick, though every now and then it can be a little slower. Overall, still a good spot to grab a meal.

Balled up greasy napkins in the bag on our last order.
This place is going down hill FAST! New common practice to be told to wait at the drive thru when the entire restaurant is empty. Food cooked fresh, however, wait times now average around FIFTEEN minutes.

The prices are too high I paid $5 for a cheeseburger but on the menu the cheeseburger say 299 they have doubled the prices or maybe it’s because I was a black person I don’t think they deal with black people very well

Placed order on app. Pulled up at drive thru said I ordered thru app. ( no other cars in drive thru) was told to pull around to employees door. I waited over 10 min check the app it says my order was completed. So I walked in and apparently the general manager taking care of the window never told them I was there. She tried to say they were busy but hello I was watching it wasn’t and my food was ready just sitting there. I made them remake it because no one wants fries that have been sitting over 10 min.
Not sure I will bother withthe app again for this location.

The honey mustard sauce was very good. That’s was. They changed it or different supplier. Now it’s not good at all. Matter of fact it sucks!!!! Only thing I go there for is chicken strips. Not anymore. Horrible honey mustard.
