I sat at the bar, which appears to be a tight fit as my elbows keep touching my neighbors as we were trying to eat our dinner. The restaurant was on a waitlist for happy hour and dinner, so it was packed. The bartender was great, she was attentive and kind as she was both the bartender for the restaurant and also the server for the bar guests as well. Overall great experience. I ordered the meatballs, margarita, pizza, beet salad, and clams. For which everything was delicious minus the clams, because they tasted overcooked and fishy.

I visited the Italian restaurant Mio in Seattle, and it left a great impression! It’s a cozy place with a charming interior and truly delicious food.

They accommodated our large group with ease, class, and the staff were perfectly attentive without hovering. The food is incredible, and if you don’t get pizza, the bread and olive appetizers are a must! The wine list is extensive, our group definitely appreciated the quality of choices. It’s an Italian family vibe with style and flair. An absolute joy!

Hands down this is the best Mio Posto location. We will happily make the trek to enjoy the neighborhood atmosphere and great food. We love watching all staff work together to provide an exceptional customer experience. From the guys who work the pizza oven to the bartender, Biz, everyone appears to love being here and is happy to create a great evening for all who join. Be sure to check the online waitlist, and cross your fingers that you’ll be seated at the pizza bar to watch the art of skilled staff. Pro-tip, they DO have a pepperoni pizza (though it’s not on the menu) and the hood canal clams are lovely. You will never go wrong with the La Calabria pizza or the burrata.

It’s packed mid-week, a 45-minute bar wait before we sit; no reservations on my part, oops, my mistake. Still, I’m happy to be here. Finally seated, orders placed. The waitress appears as if she has just awoken from a dream, suddenly realizing she is holding a pizza. A pause. Long stares among everyone. We all question whether it is ours. No matter. It is close enough. Our friends eat. My order never comes.

Twenty-five minutes later everyone else is eating while my pizza has quietly been forgotten. I remind her, trigger another awakening, and wait again. By the time my food finally arrives, it is late, everyone else is done. I eat alone as the restaurant staff begin to stack chairs. There is no elegant way to eat an entire pizza in front of a quiet audience. I look up, catching my breath from inhaling my tasty pizza, and see the chairs stacked, suggesting I finish my emotional journey elsewhere.

I suffered, I learned nothing, and I will probably be back.

Had a great meal. Staff was excellent. Sunday dinner was a little busy but we had no trouble getting a table for two. Your luck may very. If your a larger group perhaps make reservations. I will definitely be returning.

Just not my favourite kind of pizza with a thicker and chewier crust and thin body heavy/droopy with sauce. I like a bit more balance. The happy hour mussels were pretty tiny. I get it but still it left me feeling scarce.
The drink I had, some kind of tequila take on a spritz was yummy and refreshing. I loved the atmosphere, very warm, twinkly, starry lights all around a feeling of connection in the room. Server was pretty nice but when he checked my ID, said “‘92, WHOAH”, which made me feel a little awkward with him the rest of the time.

Context: Happy hour on a Sunday.

Happy hour prices are good. A menu is included with this review, but small pizzas (personal sized) are priced at $11 as of the time of this writing. As others have noted, they are very good. I recommend the lamb pizza – the flavor combination is complementary and elevates the dish. The clams are generously portioned and a pretty good value for $10 in Seattle. The sauce is a bit thin and winey, but tastes pretty good if you order some form of bread (or pizza crust!) to sop it up.
The rosemary flatbread is tasteful with a sparse amount of ingredients and it comes piping hot from the oven.
I can also recommend the ceci, which is a roasted chickpea dish. I can’t remember what spice they put in it, but also a great value and flavor.

It wasn’t too crowded at the beginning of happy hour but began to become so toward the end. They have outdoor seating.
4/5 good food, but for the prices, I’d only come during happy hour rather than for a full meal.

Super cute little place that felt homely. The service was great, the lady serving us was funny and attentive. The pizza was tasty, the dough tasted really refresh and of quality, so were the toppings. The beet salad we had was simple and refreshing! Great place for brunch with a couple of friends and just to relax.

Fantastic lunch here!! Warm service, cozy joint, and GREAT Italian style pizza – dare I say best I’ve had in Seattle? The beet salad is also what I consider a top class of salad – well dressed, punchy with goat cheese and walnuts, fresh beets, and great textures all around.
The clam bacon pizza, lamb mint pizza and squash pizza were all superb and unique in their flavor profiles. The pizza dough is uniformly great though – thin but still with substantial chew and the perfect amount of crisp on the crust. Could not have improved this meal experience whatsoever 🙂
P.s. heard their happy hour is fantastic too!
