The FSA – Food, Service, & Atmosphere was dynamite. As a starter, we had the Cajun pickle chips and they were cooked to perfection. We had the Bloody Mary as our cocktail and the recipe was spot on. I would like to see them punch up the presentation. Mine had an Olive & Pickled Okra. For taste I give it a 10. For Presentation, I give it an 8. For main course, I had the Gator Tavern Tacos and I recommend them. Great flavor! Very fresh! My friend had Cajun raw oysters and she said they definitely packed the heat! Our server was excellent. He was new but Dylan did a fantastic job. Very personable and attentive to us. Atmosphere. The restaurant was clean, and had character and charm. This is definitely a favorite of mine!

My wife and I had dinner at the Blue Oak Oyster Bar and Grill tonight. It’s clean and the tables are spaced out nicely with a total of 74 seats (not counting the bar). Our waitress was fantastic and I had to smile because she matched the reviews I had already read. Friendly and accurate with our orders and we never had to ask for drink refills. I saw her motion to hold off bringing our main courses out because we weren’t quite finished with our salads. Great service! We had the fried alligator appetizer and it was perfect and tender. The remoulade was mild, but good. Our salads (a raspberry vinaigrette and a Caesar) were the right size and they were good too. I had the grilled grouper with fried rice and it was excellent. The fish was cooked to perfection with just the right flavor. My wife had the salmon with grilled asparagus and they were both terrific. It seems like this is the place for parents visiting their kids at college to take them to. But the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. Great food and great service in a comfortable environment with good prices. We can’t ask for more. We will be back and highly recommend this fine restaurant.

Excellent service. I cannot overstate how great the service was for our entire meal. We ordered everything (2 apps, 2 mains) at once and everything came out at appropriate times. I never had to ask for more water.
The food was great. I have never had fried pepperocini peppers before, but they are excellent. The Cajun ranch is great, not too spicy or salty. All of the fish the we ordered was cooked perfectly, and the shrimp in the Cajun Alfredo we ordered didn’t have the tails on!! (I will die on this hill – more restaurants should take the tails off of shrimp that are going INTO a dish)
We will definitely be back.

I’m going to be honest, I did not have high hopes for this place going in. It’s an expensive “oyster bar” in Martin TN. My dining experiences in Martin so far have told me that if I want good food, either cook it myself, or leave the area, far far away.
But I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The food was AMAZING! And for the first time in my 40 years on this earth, the shrimp in the pasta dish DIDN’T have tails left on them! I don’t have to tell you how unheard of that is.
We got the Shrimp Alfredo, and the Seafood Sampler. Along with Cajun Pickle chips and Fried Banana Peppers For appetizers. And everything was amazing.
And the service. Oh My God the service. We ordered everything at the same time. But they ACTUALLY paced the meal properly. We got our appetizers. And around the time we were done with those, our side salads came. We had time to finish our salads and digest for a moment or two before our entrees came.
And they were attentive with our drinks as well.
It isn’t cheap, but it’s worth every penny! Easily the best restaurant in Martin.

Great place for a dinner date. Cheese curds, Oyster sampler, cajun chicken tacos, and blackened snapper, were all excellent. I did think the blackened fried rice could’ve stood a bit less salt, otherwise, food and service was great! my wife thought the house Moscato was very smooth!

The place really was good. The service was fantastic and nice. We had an issue that got solved by the waitress without hesitation. The place could have a little bit more lighting to help the visually challenged people like my wife, however. The food was overall good, but nothing special. Overall, still a good place for a little town.

I have frequented Blue Oak since it opened. This has been a go-to of mine for a fancier dinner or just to get a good meal. Quite a bite of variety on the menu and everything I have tried has been good. The blackened tuna and the blackened cod tacos are two of my favorite dishes. The drinks are always great and they have drink specials often. ALSO, there aren’t many places in the Martin area to get oysters on the half shell. I recommend a visit to Blue Oak Oyster Bar and Grill if you are in the area!

This was our first time here. Some of our food was piping hot and some was not. We ordered a fried shrimp appetizer and it was delicious. I ordered the fish and fries. They were both hot and delicious. The hush puppies were hot on the outside but cold on the inside like the grease was too hot and they didn’t get done in the middle. And my husband’s tuna was cool on the inside. The service was good tho.
