I’ve been a regular at Leo’s because the food was good and the prices were fair. Last week we went for lunch during the week and the place was unusually empty.
I ordered birria tacos and bisteck tacos. The waitress said the birria now comes with 5 tacos and drinks are no longer included. That was fine, but when we paid, the total was $34 for two people. We usually pay around $24. The receipt showed $3.99 per fountain drink, which is excessive. When I mentioned it, she just shrugged.
Service was poor. Our waitress was on her phone laughing with the cashier, and I had to flag down another waitress just to get a refill. If I hadn’t asked, I wouldn’t have gotten one.
Prices went up, but the service and value went down. Disappointing experience & wont be coming back.

Most of the tables were dirty and the waitresses didn’t seem interested cleaning the table any time sooner. They were only cleaning the table when the new customer would sit in a dirty table. What’s interesting is they charge you a “To go box.” So the best option is ask for aluminum if you really can’t finish your food. The food was decent enough but not enough for me to return.

Went here Friday evening because we saw a post about this place. The food was delicious, but the service, not so much. We were charged an extra surcharge but no one could tell us what it was for and the table service was almost non existent. Will give it a second shot, but depending on that service it will be the deciding factor if we will return again.

We’ve always had amazing food here and the best customer service. If your ever in the area you’ve got to try her Birra tacos they are the best in the Valley and if your still hungry her fajita nachos are to die for. Plus you can’t beat her prices.

Very clean taqueria and fantasticfor hot days, very goodAC! . Hawaiian hamburger is DELICIOUS. The combos (taco/lonchecitos) are enough for two people. Baked potatoes have tons of cheese and look grease. You can remove the cheese or asl for it on the side. Definitely going back if I go to South Padre again.
