Delicious lunch! 4 of us dined in. All were happy with our meals. Server was friendly, prices good. I recommend
I had a Ruben and was pleasantly surprised it was real chunky corned beef, not sliced lunch meat. My husband had the Malibu chicken.

Average bar atmosphere, with average service, and average food. Got a cheeseburger that was a little small maybe 1/3 pound if that for $10.50 and it cost $2 dollars more for fries. Burger was also so greasy my bun got soggy :(. Overall average bar experience. Wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.

Stopped in just for drinks and an order of fries so I cannot be too helpful in this review. I can say however that the bartender was pleasant and attentive despite the fact she not only took care of us at the bar but she also took care of all the customers sitting at tables AND she was the cook! A relaxed atmosphere as usual. One of our favorite places to visit regardless whether it is just for drinks or dinner before heading over to the Acorn Theater. A consistantly good experience.

This neighborhood/town staple had amazing, fresh hamburgers as well as typical bar food. The burgers are hand made and generous on a fresh bun. Nice selection of draft beers with a few craft ones and the usual bottle selection. Fries were good (shoestring) but I think I’d like to have the curry fries best time. Three people with burgers, fries and beers came to $40.

Nice small local place, friendly people with good service and fair prices. Stopped here as a recommendation from locals about the burgers. I had the rueben, which was good. Wife had the burger, which came out way too undercooked and bloody, and didn’t get asked if we wanted it that way. That’s the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. But still worth a try if you are in the area.

Visited for a week to New Buffalo ( where I grew up) for the first time in years. Spent a lot of time in Three Oaks a youngster, so took I the quick drive over from NB. Wound up going to Nelson’s three time & each time was awesome. Friendly staff, nice locals, cheap drink prices , “dive bar” feel & one of the best bacon cheeseburgers ever!!!! Worth the drive from whatever Harbor Country town you might be visiting!!!!

With all of the boutique style eating in town Nelson’s is a comforting oasis. The burger was fantastic (bacon swiss olive onion pickle). Same for the Chili cheese fries. Great lunch with my daughter. The bartender was helpful and made everyone comfortable.

Nelson’s service, setting, and food are always spot on and usually even better than anticipated. Recently discovered their Wednesday Mexican special. I loved the taco salad, edible bowl and all. My friend was equally pleased with his wet burrito.

Terrible experience all-around. Seated ourselves, then waited 10+ minutes to even be acknowledged. I fiinally went to the bar, server said “we see you! ” so I sat back down. Waited another 10 minutes for service. We finally placed our order (2 burgers, a patty melt, hot wings basket, potato skins, 2 beers and 3 sodas. Bill totaled over $70!! When I asked if I could get onion rings instead of fries with my sandwich, I was told I could get anything with it. Wish she would’ve said it would be at FULL PRICE!! $7 for 6-7 onion rings is RIDICULOUS! We waited another 10 minutes after we finished eating for a bill but it never came, so I went to the bar and asked for the check and a to go box. Got the check, but no box. I asked for a box 2 more times, and nothing. I finally went back to the bar to get one. Needless to say it was our first and last visit!
