such a hidden gem!! incredible food (dough all made in house and WOW) & the owner was so nice. Many options for dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegan etc). Decorated nicely inside & loved the music playing. Great atmosphere. Would highly recommend!! We also got burekas in addition to what’s pictured and it was amazing – can’t go wrong!

Wow!! I am blown away by how fresh and delicious all of our food was! We got the chefs bread to start with the dippings and it was perfect. The bread was freshly baked and soft. Also had the two specials of the day: lamb risotto and the tenderloin gnocchi. It was absolutely delicious! Portion sizes are good and flavor is 10/10. Make this your next dinner spot!

Wow! What a gem. This charming little spot is not to be missed. The chef and owner clearly knows his food and each dish is thoughtfully prepared. He greeted us warmly and was especially kind to our young child, which made the experience even better.

Everything we ordered was better than expected. The short rib gnocchi special was rich and tender, the fish with ravioli was perfectly balanced in spice, tang and creaminess and the goat cheese cheesecake was the ideal finish, creamy, sweet on top, and unforgettable.

Dishes came out piping hot. After catching a glimpse of our neighbors’ plates, we knew we needed more to try the bread, which helped us savor the sauces even more, so we ordered the bread twice.

I left already plotting what to try next time.

My husband and I stopped into Gveenah for dinner and were so impressed with our meal! So many interesting Mediterranean/italian fusion dishes that are unique for the area. Everything was incredibly fresh. The warm bread with dips, perfectly cooked sea bass, and homemade tortellini were stand outs. Chef Roi was so nice, and we really fell in love with his cooking. Dining in was cozy, and it’s definitely a great takeout option. Wishing this new business the best of luck!

This place is fantastic! We came here for dinner and absolutely loved everything we got. The chefs bread with the Jerusalem bagel is a must get! We also loved the gnocchi and the special of the night which was lamb risotto. I highly recommend!

We finally decided to give Gveenah a try, and we were absolutely blown away. The food is on par with what you’d expect from a high-end restaurant. We ordered the Tuna Ceviche and the Goat Cheese Salad. Both were incredible and bursting with flavor. We’re so glad we came! The service was exceptionally warm and welcoming, with big smiles all around. The Chef even took the time to ask a few questions and personally recommended dishes tailored to our tastes. Bottom line: This is a must try hidden gem in West Hartford. We can’t wait to go back this weekend!

Family run restaurant filled with soul. Unique and masterfully crafted dishes that make you ask for more.

The inside is small, so they require a reservation, but will make things work even if you forgot. Do yourself a favor and choose many of the shareables to expedience the full breadth of food available.

What a spectacular find! How could I not have heard about this fabulous restaurant? The menu is broad and offers the full range of options I would expect from a much bigger restaurant. We opened with the Chef’s bread which comes with four different sauces. The focaccia arrived right out of the oven and it is obviously meant to be torn and dipped into the condiments, not delicately spread with butter. The other choice for bread was a Jerusalem Bagel. Why did I not order both?

The entrees are equally robust, I had the Beef Ragu Tagliatelle which was the ideal lunch size. The shredded beef was apportioned perfectly with the al dente pasta. The first bite was amazing and we all agreed it would be hard to prepare a better pasta dish. The Moroccan Fish was equally wonderful; perfectly prepared and perfectly presented. The Buche Salad and the Green Tortellini were also big hits.

Gveenah appears to be one of those restaurant where we decided the smart thing to do was to eat our way through the menu, trying everything, so we don’t miss something that may be an even greater treat. The service was wonderful, the price was right and it is always great when the chef comes out to check on his food.

Go now while you can get a seat…

We came for lunch craving bright, fresh flavors on a sunny and warm winter’s day. We were not dissapointed.

Loved the Jerusalem bagel and dips, for sure. We had salads which were fresh, light and refreshing, adding a savory lamb kabob and chicken shwarma proteins to round it out. Also enjoyable, the cuke-lime fizz!!

Thank you for delicious eats!
