Always been a great place to eat until recently. Chicken Tenders have not only gotten smaller but sometimes its basically bits of fried batter and nothing more. Quality has definitely dropped in search of higher profits most likely.

Love the breakfast here, although I do find the hash browns somewhat greasy. And the biscuit gravy has no flavor…it’s like it’s flour and water ..no sausage flavor. We usually pass on that. We haven’t eaten lunch here in a while, so can’t comment on that. Coffee is great. Servers are always wonderful and friendly. Love coming here.

The to go waitresses are always really nice and the food is really affordable and tasty. You can get a meat, 3 vegetables, and a drink for a great price. The cooler is delicious as well as the macaroni and cabbage. I absolutely love the fried pork chops and the fried chicken is good as well.

Wow, I decided to comment on the chicken tenders and the first review that I read said exactly what I wanted to say. Small and over fried. Used to be great. Bread was hard, vegetable portions also seemed smaller than usual. We love Mama Penns. We eat there often. Be careful because customers are searching for fair pricing and quality after the past few years inflation.

Stopped for breakfast. Can tell this is a local Mom & Pop type place. Service was fast and friendly. Both of us had omelets which were delicious. Their grits were good as well and they have real butter on the table. $28 for 2 coffees and 2 omelets with sides. Food was better and more reasonably priced than a chain. Would eat here again.

The food was great! Didn’t well have to wait long to be seated, but the place was busy and I could see why. Ordered the chicken and dumplings. With the fried okra and the broccoli cheddar rice casserole with apple crush on the side. Waitress was right on top of it. Bringing me refills of sweet tea. If you’re passing through Anderson. South Carolina you want to stop here to eat good food and get excellent service!

If you want good southern food with some southern hospitality on the side then this is the restaurant for you! This place has the best meat and 3 around at a very affordable price. The food is always hot and fresh and just absolutely delicious. You will feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door. Yall keep up the wonderful work you do.
