Jack McShea’s is probably the best Irish bar and best value bar in all of Ardmore. You can get a lot to drink and it’s at a great price. It’s a solid spot to watch a game, lots of TVs and the bar can seat a lot of people. You can play pool too. The service is always great, and it’s a fun spot to hangout.

I came here on a Tuesday evening in October prior to attending a show at the Ardmore Music Hall which is across the street.
I sat a the bar. The bartender greeted me quickly and gave me menus. They had a well rounded menu – typical bar food, sandwiches, soup and salad, etc. There were happy hour specials – I don’t remember the timeframe. Prices are very reasonable.
I had one chicken and one shrimp empanada. These are made in-house. I thought the shrimp was better than the chicken, that’s my preference, they both were good. I had one beer. They had a small draft list but a nice mix.
The bartender was friendly and attentive. The bar wasn’t too full when I got there but some more trickled in while I was there. Tuesday night not be a busy night.
They had a pool table on the side of the bar. The atmosphere was easy going. It was a bit dark in there. The women’s restroom could use some updates.
This was a nice quick stop before the show for me.

Such a cool place for a drink and bar food! I asked our bartender, Joel, if they had Loaded Fries on the menu and he said no but, I’ll have the kitchen make up a dish for ya. So good

Jack McShea’s catered our open house yesterday at Visiting Angels in Havertown and the food was outstanding! We had a spread including hummus & pita, a cheese tray, cheese steak sliders, pigs in a blanket, shrimp cocktail and caprese skewers. Everyone LOVED the food and we cannot recommend McShea’s enough for your event. We will certainly use them again for our next event!

Pretty inexpensive spot that has a decent variety of American bar food. Some of the seats are worn down. We felt that the burger quantity was good but the lettuce was a messy salad on the burger. Beer is cheap here. There are televisions.

Didn’t get to stop in on this most recent trip to Ardmore, but any bar that serves pierogi gets a 5-star review from me.

Definition of lacking service. Bartender was takin his time wit drinks it was only me & 2 other people in there. Worst part: Food took 30 minutes. Unacceptable. Fingers & fries should never take nearly that long it was practically empty inside in da afternoon. Don’t want to imagine what it’s like on a crowded weekend night. Don’t expect to see me again

Food was great. They were too busy to really offer any service (two bartenders for the entire place, who also had to try and be servers to the tables) so had to keep going up to order drinks, food, get silverware, etc. They were super nice but clearly overwhelmed and in this forgot part of our order, but did give us a free beer to make up for it.

Great spot along Lancaster Ave. We aren’t familiar with the bars in the area and just happened to be walking by on Labor Day Weekend when we met one of the bartenders outside. He asked us what we were looking for and didn’t try to push this place on us. We decided to give it a go and loved it. The staff is very attentive, food was delicious and they don’t skimp on the alcohol when it comes to those Long Island Iced Teas! We’ll be coming back again.
