This Starbucks is truly one of the best I’ve been to. The store is always clean, the drinks are consistently made right, and the atmosphere is welcoming. But what really makes this location stand out is the manager and her team. They’re friendly, attentive, and clearly care about both the customers and the team. You can feel the positive energy as soon as you walk in.
Every visit is smooth, fast, and genuinely enjoyable. Highly recommend this location!

The newest Starbucks in our neighborhood in Orchards/Brush Prairie area has totally blown away our expectations. My wife runs the annual Yuletide Bazaar at Prairie High School that benefits the band program. In the 21 years, we’ve had various local coffee shops, including Starbucks in Battle Ground, donate 5 gallon Cambros for the cause.

Quick biased side note: the PHS Bazaar is the premier bazaar event in Clark County that just keeps getting better year after year. There’s at least a 3-year waiting list for vendors to get on. We’ve had vendors who has been with us for 4 decades. The event was started by Steve Stuart’s mother when he was a band student at PHS. Steve has been a Clark County Commissioner and is now the city manager for Ridgefield, one of the fastest growing communities in America.

Back to this glowing review of Orchards Starbucks at 9926 NE 117th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98662. This year, we decided to brew our own coffee using Starbucks Christmas Blend from Costco. My wife stayed up all night yesterday grinding 2 pounds. The first brew went great as it was started by her. The second brew took twice as long as it should have — by which time we ran out of the first brew. We unloaded the coffee into our own 5-gallon Cambro and got ready to brew the 3rd batch. No ground coffee was to be found but I did see 4 empty bags of coffee lying around.

When I asked my wife about where rest of the coffee ground was, she shad she had 4 bags for 4 brews. Alarmed, we immediately taste-tested the fresh brew coffee. It was horrible! The only person that liked it was an semi-anonymous brewer that goes by the “Junior” moniker.

Desperate, we brainstormed. Could we add hot water to cut the strength? Should we start all over and spend hours purchasing, grinding and brewing the coffee?

In the end, I called the nearest Starbucks that we have never used before. I pleaded with them to provide 5-gallons of coffee within an hour or two at free or reduced price. To my surprise, the store manager said she could be ready within 30 minutes – no charge! When I went to pick it up, not only were they ready, they helped me pick out the coffee beans we can use to brew our next batch. They ground it and helped me carry the very heavy Cambro out to my minivan.

We put up the attached sign so that all could see that the green Cambro from Starbucks reflected their care for the community. It was the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. Happy Holidays, everyone!

This is the friendliest starbucks you’ll find in the greater Vancouver area! Clean, fast, and excellent coffee. Also helps that my mom is the store manager. Hi mom if you’re reading this!

I’m not from the area, I was just passing through and needed an early cup of coffee. Not usually a Starbucks person, but I had the pleasure of meeting Kennedy. She greeted me at the door, with a huge smile, and was welcoming and friendly. Truly made my morning, and if I lived here I would be a regular for sure. Thanks again for being such a welcoming store.

I do enjoy the coffee here. My favorite is the brown sugar shake espresso. I had a great experience with the Barista who helped me get just the right grind for my coffee for my Persnickety home machine.

My drink was fine. But the attitude of one of the servers was bad. Not to me, but another customer, who had ordered drinks on line and stopped in to pick them up. They had ordered two iced drinks, but neither one had a lid on them. They asked for lids please. Was told they could go over to the condiments bar and get themselves lids. They replied that they would like the server to please put them on. The server then proceeded to tell them it was a Washington state law, that they didn’t have to put lids on iced drinks, mind you the server was right next to the lids. The server finally gave in and put lids on the cups. The customer left, and at this point the server went over and complained to another server about the customer, all while other customers were waiting for orders and could hear them. NOT a good choice to make, as it makes you and Starbucks look bad. I mean really… Over stupid lids, was it that hard to comply and make the customer happy. Sorry, but on that condiments bar, how many people have had their dirty hands on the lids? Yuck. There is an exception to that law, that says if a customer requests lids that YOU can put them on the cups. And yes the customer was getting annoyed with you, as sometimes the drinks have lids and other times they do not and wanted to know if the law changed daily as there was no consistency with how lids are used. But you as the employee and representative of Starbucks could have taken the higher road, and when the lids were requested, just put them on the drinks.

This Starbucks is truly a standout, and the credit goes straight to the incredible manager and team who run it so well!

Of all the Starbucks we’ve visited through the years, this location is a breath of fresh air. Starbucks is known for great customer service, but this location truly stands out. It feels like the kind of warm, welcoming community hub that Howard Schultz originally envisioned when he dreamed up the idea of Starbucks.

The staff are consistently kind, attentive, and on point with our order every single time—even recognizing us by our red Jeep at the window. They always get the details right: Splenda in my drink, just a tiny splash of low-fat milk—no need to remind them. That level of care is rare.

We call this our happy place, especially when we’ve grown tired of the cold and disconnected vibe that seems to hang over this city. We’re looking forward to our move back to Texas, but this little Starbucks has been a true bright spot. Thank you to the manager and team—you make a difference!
