Worse taco i have ever had, and wouldn’t recommend this place. The chicken taco was a complete disappointment. What i got was basically a soggy cold wrap, the flour tortilla was drenched with watery juice from the lettuce and tomato, and the chicken tasted bland, more like cold cuts than a real taco. When i called i was told i was “supposed to ask for a Mexican style taco” because they are a Tex-Mex restaurant. If you put “chicken taco” on the menu, customers shouldn’t have to guess or use special wording just to get something resembling an actual taco. On top of that, got hit with an unexpected card fee. Very disappointing!

I have been here a few times and have enjoyed it each time with levels of happiness varying from delighted to just satisfied. The tacos are regularly excellent, but quesedillas are of variable quality I am assuming due to the relative freshness of the ingredients on that particular day. Do not mistake this for saying that they are selling bad ingredients, but obviously if you are ordering a chicken quesedilla, the chicken is not going to be prepared specifically for that item and sometimes that ingredient will have been made at variable times relative to the order. Other than the uneven quality of that one item I have zero complaints – they are friendly, quick and happy to accommodate all preferences.

Worse food I ever had
My people could have cooked it more authentic. The tortillas tasted and felt like they were from the dollar store. Small potations for the money laid in a soggy bed of lettuce. It all tasted plain no flavor at all!!!

This was the 3rd year in a row we have catered from Texaquito. Work with me to create an appropriate catering menu for my parties and have fair prices. The food is always delicious. Chips, salsa, guac, jalapeño poppers, empanadas, taco bar with hard and soft shell options, roasted chicken, beef, fajita veggies, churros, and all the fixings plus many options of sauces. Also, needed some options dairy free and they accommodated with no issues. Have also done regular take out – burrito, quesadilla. All excellent!

Food: 5/5 – Some interesting flavors. I ordered the Fire Island Tacos (which was VERY tasty) and the Hicksville Taco was good as well. The ingredients seemed fresh. The food was served in a hard shell wrapped in a soft shell. This is a nice idea. It keeps it from falling apart.
Service: 3/5 – There was only 1 person working in the place. She was the cook and order taker. Food was packaged well in the to-go containers. I was the only one ordering lunch and it took about 8 minutes from start to finish.
Atmosphere: 2/5 – The establishment needs improvement. The huge chalkboard that you order from is unorganized. It’s hard to figure out what you can get and the prices. There is a to-go flyer at the register that’s more organized. The soda machine was partially broken. Seems rundown. No theme or elements of interest. Some seating for 2. Lighting is basic.
Cleanliness: 2/5 – When you walk in, it smells a bit musty. The eating area failed some rudimentary dust checks. The back of the house seemed clean but not spotless. The cook was wearing a hat, but no gloves.
Parking: 3/5 – Shared lot outside. Not very big and can get filled up quickly.
Restrooms: N/A – didn’t visit.
Value: 3/5- 3 tacos we ordered came to about $15.48. Kinda steep. But the flavor was above average. The portion size filled me up.
Overall: 4/5 – The food was the star of the show. It’s what will make me come back.
Advice to management: You need to spend about $5000 to get a modern wallboard for ordering and for a deep clean, get some decor to liven the place up.

The place is good for groups of 4 or less. Honestly only came here for a small meal and it blew me out the park. Best chicken AND beef empanada around with little fillers. Absolutely great experience.

Came here to try it out with my family. Amazing food. try the California burrito .it’s great tasty filling and a fair deal better then Chipotle or Moe’s hands down. The burrito even came with a soda and chips but we tried the hortchata refreshing a flavorful .I don’t usually gush over most restaurants but I’m sitting here the next day missing the food lol
